This is why I don't watch the dunk contest anymore. Way over hyped and it's very repetitive. Tables? Are we seriously going to tables now? It was cooler back when no one could do anything but now, it's just a bunch of garbage. The sticker dunk was almost worth watching it. It was pretty sick.

That sticker dunk was easily one of the top-3, but Adolf Jordan and his Nazi judging crew were harsh on voting. I woudln't be surprised if there was any bribing going on...

I wasn't really looking too hard, but he is in his mid-40s. Would make sense...

does anyone feel really let down about wasting a couple hours to watch the dunk contest. Seriously it was really boring this year. On the green dunk if he had put it around the foul line, ran up to and used it launch himself for a dunk, then I would have been impressed. However, just jumping over table did nothing to impress me.

Last I checked, it didn't last a couple hours...

Heh. You didn't have to do that.
Well it was kind of a down year, but really, what were you expecting?

I guess we expected good dunks....
Tarik Thomas looked like a schoolboy doing it for a paychek, Dwight Howard had an awesome dunk but nothing flashy, Nate Robinson pulled out his best dunks early and Gerald Green tried really hard to look rather average.
Next year I expect Jason Richardson, Vince Carter, Tracey McGrady and LeBron James.
That'd really add to the Dunk Competition appeal. Make it as big as the skills competition and 3point shoot out.

Problem. None of them want to do it. Not much you can do short of forcing them into it, and then everyone will be Tyrus Thomas.

You had to say Tyrus Thomas' full name so I could realize I called him Tarik huh?
Yeah, I know thats the problem, but I am just playing make beleive. That'd be prety cool man.

That Thomas Guy
I wish these players made these kind of shots during the game. This is the best display of shooting I have seen since Reggie Miller blessed us all with his pressance in a Pacer uniform up untill '04.

I know im late but i just had to jump in....I seriously believe Dwigth got ROBBED- that sticker dunk was awesome. It was the most originial and creative dunk in that contest. At first when he dunked it, i was like ok but when he was pointing to the sticker and sayin how high it was is was like 'oh crap, the man has jumps!' Plus it was also funny to here the TNT commentators going off on the judges especially Barkley calling M.J. names and saying how terrible he was at judging.

What did the sticker say? Looking at your avatar my eyes are practically bleeding from squinting so hard. But yes, Howard got robbed. You'd think a guy who was so creative with his own dunk would be able to judge a competition like this without seeming like he was bribed...
But nothing compares to Kenny Smith changing his vote last year after seeing Robinson needed one more point to beat Iguodala. I was just relieved Smith wasn't a voter this year, and I hope the same for MJ next year.

It's probably so hard to reach as high as you can and put a sticker on the board meanwhile catching a ball and dunking it in time.
Gerald Green jumpedm over my living room cofee table and got strait 10s..
uhm..Paid..uhm
