Loser#4: Pistons: We take three shooting guards and we don't address our need of a backup PG, a backup SF, or a backup C. Our depth chart looks something like this, assuming Billups re-ups and Webber does not: Billups/ ? Rip Hamilton/Flip/Stuckey/Afflalo/Mejia Tayshaun/ Rasheed (teh suck)/McDyess/Maxiell/Amir Johnson Nazr Mohammed/ ? Thanks, Joe!

I think Stuckey can play PG and Mejia can play SF. Other than that, i thougth you guys had a good draft- keyword being 'good'.

Oh God, if we're relying on Sammy Mejia to be our backup small forward....
And none of them can play center!
THIS DRAFT SUCKS.

I like your pick of Stuckey though DB, I think he can be a quality scorer off the bench for you guys.

Looooosers-Philly: I wasnt filling their draft. They got players that'll make an impact 4 years down the road right now. They also waisted the 30th pick when they could of draft a seasoned college player or something. The 30th pick via trade, Derrick Byars, is a senior. I really don't know how much more seasoned you want him to be... Thaddeus Young was the right move at #12. King was trying to move up, but he really has nothing to trade, since the guys that should be trade-bait have insanely over-priced contracts. I also don't really see what else they could have done at #21 other than what they did by trading for Jason Smith. Taking Young meant they had to go big, so they got a big guy who was better than everyone else on the board. Herbert Hill was their only other pick who they got via trade in the 2nd round, and while he isn't talented to get a lot of playing time, at least he has real good size for someone coming out of college.

Yeah i didnt know Byars was traded to Philly. I saw them draft that foreign guy. But my concern with the Sixers is that they drafted 2 forwards when they already have Korver, Iguodala, and Rodney Carney. They needed size in this draft so passing on Thornton was a head scratcher IMO.

Iggy is a shooting guard, Korver should be a 6th or 7th man, and Carney doesn't have much of a role. Thornton really doesn't have great size for a PF, and he definitely doesn't rebound well enough for one, which is the Sixers biggest problems (I wouldn't be surprised if Young averaged more rebounds than Thornton will). Maybe if Hawes would have slipped they would have possibly considered him, but there weren't really any guys big enough that deserved to go at 13.

from Golden state's standpoint it was a good move because of the money issue, and the Bobcats got a veteran, instead of getting younger because they don't need any more young players Richardson is only 26 too. It's not like they traded for Ray Allen or something.
