How is the ASB franchise better in your opinion? How is it set up? (I've played MVP but not ASB) ASB has a lot of little things that IMO make it better. Don't get me wrong, I like MVP. It's just that some of things in ASB I like better. First of all, I'm big on the franchise mode. I usually will take the Blue Jays or Cubs and play through at least a season over the summer. ASB, IMO, has the better franchise mode. It's even got things like the Rule 5 Draft, and Type A, B, or C free agents. Also, players are rated with a letter grade, not an annoying bar. It's also got a great Expansion mode in which you get to draft a new team into either the NL or AL (and the CPU will draft another). You can let your expansion team play in historic stadiums too, like the Polo Grounds or the Astrodome. There are also new stadiums to choose from to put your team in. I just think that, overall, the franchise mode is deeper in ASB. Although minor league teams is pretty awesome in MVP. The offseason is very detailed. Secondly, I prefer the gameplay over MVP. That's something you'll have to try out for yourself. Rent it if you wanna give it a shot

Yeah, ASB has an incredibly deep Franchise mode, deeper than MVP, though MVP is still pretty deep. It's just the gameplay in ASB isnt as good to me. That's why I like MVP.

I'm still waiting to rent ASB. The store didn't have it last weekend.

This is what I'm struggling with. I just rented ASB this weekend, and I've played it one night, and I already enjoy it, the franchise mode is badass. I like it so much, I was considering starting a MLB dynasty with it, but I would like to play MVP first, or is it worth playing it?

It depends on your tastes. MVP has minor leagues which is sick, but I love ASB's 'chise mode, and IMO, the gameplay is better. But when it comes to gameplay, it's definitely your own call.

I think this is what I'm going to do. I will go ahead and make a new dynasty on ASB while I have it, then rent MVP asap and start a dynasty on there. Which ever game I like better I will purchase that one, and keep the corresponding dynasty.

Play that out over 162 games and you'll only have about 30-35 HR.
