Yeah...this is really old news. Selig made a statement about it saying the rumors were absolutely false - they haven't been in the appeal process of any steroid suspensions, let alone Clemens and Damon.
Pointing the finger at Clemens and Damon, though? Sounds like a Yankee fan starting a rumor with the two people that have "screwed over" the Yankees the past few years.
Then again, it is on the internet and everything you read on the internet is true, right Sep??

It was on a Red Sox Fans blog. True, but it's not a new story. I heard the same story weeks ago...it seems to be becoming an urban legend on the web. Clemens and Damon were supposed to be busted like 3 weeks ago...then it was 2 weeks ago..now it's Friday (which is more or less done with). That's what makes me believe it was started originally by a fan who's jealous that Clemens is pulling a Nolan Ryan. |
