How can people possibly put guys like Willie Mays and Ted Williams ahead of Ruth and Bonds. Let's look at some numbers boys: OBP: Williams .482 Ruth .474 Bonds .443 Mays .384
SLG: Ruth .690 Williams .634 Bonds .612 Mays .558
HR: Ruth 714 Bonds 703 Mays 660 Williams 521
Runs Created: Ruth 2756 Bonds 2489 Williams 2358 Mays 2344
IBB: Bonds 604

Personally, I don't like to see Bonds on the list. One because of the steriods, and second because he is still playing so it is hard to compare him to the others.

Rose didn't take steroids. Looking at the way he played on the field shouldn't be affected by the things he did off it if they didn't alter his play in anyway.
Oh and bmaster..Bonds has no championships to show what he's done + the steroids. Williams was great in his time, possibly the greatest hitter, it shouldn't even be a question.

Pete has admitted to what he did wrong. It kills me to see that cheaters on steriods have a better chance at getting in than a man who bet on the game, admitted it, and has no chance right now.

Would you guys consider Cal Ripken Junior as one of the best to play the game?

Yeah I respect Ripken for the games played record. I just don't think he is top 10 worthy. The thing with baseball is that its been around so long. There have been so many greats to play the game.

Ooo wow, great point, considering all those championships that Williams had. LOL
