The only real surprise I see is Orlando Hudson getting the 2nd base award instead of Brian Roberts...that was probably the closest race.
Chavez, Hunter, and Suzuki all won their 5th consecutive Gold Glove awards, while Hudson, Varitek, and Teixeira earned their first.

Well as much as I love Jeter, he didn't deserve it this year. I would have given it to Orlando Cabrera in LA. I don't think Hunter should have won either because he's been hurt and didn't even play in 100 games.

I think Rowand should have.
I LOVE watching Orlando play.

As a Jays fan, I would've gone on some sort of killing rampage if Hudson didn't win. He deserved that by far when you see him in action 162 times a year.

I love the O-Dog he is prob my fav in the game today. Plus Wells could be unstoppable if he wants to be. He could be the next Pujols, if only he could just get over whatever is holding him back. If the Jays actually pick up some decent Relief P's and 1 or 2 starters with some talent, then they could surprise some people next year

Buster Olney seems to think that the Jays will end up with A.J. Burnett since they've been sitting on their money for a couple years now and are dying to add more pitching beyond Halladay and Gustavo Chacin (which is by far the coolest name in the majors). The Jays could use a little more power in their lineup in my opinion, but looking at the White Sox maybe they should just load up on pitching to shut down the other power hitters in their division.

Three words. Wily Mo Pena. And two more old school words. Pumpsie Green.

Being a Brewer fan, I'd be all in favor of the Reds letting Wily Mo leave. And Austin Kearns. And Adam Dunn. And after this next year, Edwin Encarnacion.

Anyone with the name Encarnacion is cool, except if their first name is "Edwin". At least call him "Eddy" or something.
Other cool names: Tadahito Iguchi, Juan Uribe, So Taguchi, Jacque Jones, Antonio Alfonseca, and Joaquim Benoit.

Vizquel didn't deserve it, and how can Torri Hunter win if he didn't even play half of the season?
