Beckett and Schilling were trade acquisitions, they didn't go to Boston because they got a ridiculous sum of money thrown at them.

Yankeehtr is the biggest hypocrite to post in this topic, and that's sad when you read some of the posts made.
And while the 7-0 loss hurts, do I need to remind Red Sox fans of the 7-1 loss they had against the Royals earlier in the season(which by the way, even though it was early on, counts as equally bad as one last night)... so yeah, normally I celebrate a Yankees loss, but for you hypocritical Red Sox fans here, open your eyes a bit...

Boston isn't as arrogant. Have you ever been to Boston?

it's not the fact that they lost... it's the fact that the big bad Yankees got beat by the lowly Royals.... well I will say this, if New York ends getting the wild card, they could be dangerous because usually they dominate the regular season and suck in the playoffs... it could go the opposite this year Wait...the Yankees usually suck in the playoffs?

Well, they're supposed to win it all every year and haven't done so since 2000....
After all, you guys had one of the greatest lineups ever last year (according to ESPN) and my Tigers beat you good.

Bud, that ship sailed a long time ago. No, we're not that good, but to say the Royals are lowly is just flat-out wrong.

Yes it does. Every year you're supposed to win it and you fail.

As the lone true Red Sox fan in this topic, you people are odd.

As the lone true Red Sox fan in this topic, you people are odd. That first statement is definitely true and that's why I've never had a problem with you. As for the second...look who's talking.

Yankee suspension time! Clemens for 5 games, Torre for one. Nice to see Roger's getting his money's worth.

umm...longhorn, Wang pitched last night, but good job paying attention. As for the suspensions, complete bullshit. EDIT: I don't remember seeing a warning so wth? A-Rod gets fined why?

It's just funny, like we were supposed to sit there and let it happen two nights in a row without one of their players getting dinged? I understand the rules of the game and what not, but when there hasn't been a warning after it happening two nights in a row, Clemens shouldn't be getting suspended.

Damn ESPN showing that clip right before they showed the game highlights. Also I wasn't in the best state of mind if you know what I mean.
