7th or 8th (where they are at right now) is what...15th...16th at worst? This is after times without Sundin, times without Wellwood, times without Tucker, a lot of time now without Peca, and time missing guys like Colaiacovo and Ponikarovsky who are young but instrumental. Injuries have hurt this team badly my friend. Us and the Sens. I will say though, and this isn't me just sucking up, but next to the leafs, I'm an Oilers fan. I love the way they play. I was one of the very few around here against Calgary when they went on their cup run. I wanted Edmonton to have that glory. well I will say this as of right now the leafs are better than oilers |

I'd just like to let you know that the Devils are the hottest team in the Eastern Conference. Just two points back of the 2nd seed, and we aren't stopping there.

Ok, ok, but Jersey Girl...you must realize that your team is practically Gionta, Gomez and Brodeur. Beyond that, it is fliiimsy. I would take the Leafs defensive core over yours...and that's saying something. I mean, Brodeur stands on his head to make guys like Colin White and Paul Martin look good, and even then they have minus ratings.
All I'm saying is...I hope neither of those 3 guys gets hurt.

Ha, I'm not even sure about Gionta any more. Gomez, Elias, and of course the oh so great Parise are the only some what legitimate threats we have. Without Brodeur, we're pretty much hanging out with the Flyers, which is why he should win the Hart and Vezina if we somehow win the division. But we are playing relatively good hockey finally. 8-2-2 in the last twelve looks pretty good, even if we aren't scoring. |

Well, you will have Angelo Esposito, so if you can acquire some actual talent in a couple of years by the time he's ready to play, you might be set to make a return to the playoffs. I don't get why they haven't traded away Esche or Nitti yet. They're obviously tanking hard, and there are several teams that would love a backup goalie. Why not make one of these guys suffer and just ship them off for some potential? |

The reason why Esche is still here is because Paul Holmgren is an absolute moron. Nitty is going to be here for a while. Jon Stevens coached Nitty in the AHL and he is going to stick with him in the NHL.

Another win for the hottest team in the Eastern Conference, the Atlantic Division leading Devils. We're now tied with Atlanta for 2nd in the conference, and we've played two less games as well. So while they continue to crash and burn, we move up to our next target, Buffalo.

Who will do nothing but win. Sorry, jersey boy. Way to jinx us... the Devils won and we lost. You're banned from making predictions! Anyways, if anyone saw that Flyers-Pens game yesterday, you watched one of the worst officiated games this season. Forsberg got called for like a high stick or something when his stick was on the ground the whole time. Then Mark Recchi had the most obvious hand pass to set up a Malkin goal, but the ref, who was standing pretty much right next to Recchi looking at him, made no call. There were a crapload of penalties in the first two periods though. Ben Eager got kicked out just ten minutes into the game. But I guess when you get outshot 39-18, it's kind of hard to win. |
