The DC World Cup Pick 'em Game [R]

Ok, I looked on the web but couldn't find anything like this, so I'll just do it myself. Here are the rules. From each group, you must pick 2 teams.

4 points for picking group winner
2 point for picking second place finisher
1 point if your second place finisher finishes first

You may also pick each game for bonus points:

1 point for correct game outcome (correct winner/draw)

Your groups are due by Friday, June 9th @ 12:00 PM ET. You must enter these to play.

It is then up to you to PM me the result of each game before the game has started. If I don't get it in, you simply forfeit the bonus point for that match.

Following that, the second round through to the finals will go March Madness Bracket style. Your teams must carry on from your group winner selections, you do not get to reset your final 16 teams.

2 points for correct second round game.
4 points for correct quarterfinal game.
8 points for correct semifinal game.
16 points for correct finals outcome.

You must submit your 2nd-final round outcomes prior to each of those games. You obviously cannot choose a team if they weren't in your top 16.

So, I'll post the groups, and here's what you should do as of right now:

- Send me you're 16 qualifiers from the 8 groups.
- Send me at the very least your choices for the first 2 days of play


That will get you through Saturday's action at any rate.

The more people we get in, the funner this will be. Remember, for now, just pick 16 teams from each of the 8 groups (2 from each group), and as many bonus games as you'd like...but at the bare minimum, I'd hope you pick Friday's and Saturday's games. Ok, a quick update...8 teams are entered. I've added where everyone stands in terms of what you've sent in.

Don't worry if you're missing "Games after Sunday" or "Final 16 bracket"...it's what I expected. You have until Sunday to get me games on Sunday, until Monday to get me games on Monday, etc...

As for the bracket, this is due at the conclusion of the first round. I haven't really posted instructions for the bracket...but here they are now. When I say "1A" it means 1st place in the A group...just as "2H" means 2nd in the H group.
