I never did post this, but I saw the Who on the 21st, and they were very very awesome.
I'm also going to see Dylan on November 8th.

Just warning you man, he has NO voice left, it's almost sad to watch at times. I love being able to say I've seen Dylan, but... it's slightly depressing. Not a lot of great stuff coming out lately. Like Jenny Lewis' album, Acid Tounge, which features Elvis Costello on it. DB, check out The Tallest Man on Earth. He is a Swedish kid who grew up praising Bob Dylan, does awesome stuff, and is opening for Bon Iver, who has to be the best folk act out there right now with the exception of Iron & Wine.

Couldn't understand a word he was saying.

Picked up a new cd of itunes yesterday cause I couldn't find it anywhere. Its called Heart Burns and its by Against Me! vocalist Tom Gabel. It is a great disc although small (9 tracks) its kinda like if Against Me! went acoustic

Alright, I'm looking for suggestings...
I'm starting to really get into downtempo/trip hop type stuff and really electronica in general. So anybody (hoping Keeper has a gem really) got any artists I should check out?

I went to a pretty sick concert last week. Skylit Drive/Alesana/Escape the Fate/Silverstein/Chiodos.
Not a big fan of Chiodos except for a couple of their earlier songs, but Silverstein and Alesana are probably my two favorite bands and both are awesome live, with Escape the Fate up there too. Not a huge Skylit Drive fan but I still listen to Wires regularly and they are not bad at all for an opening act.

Portishead - Dummy M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas, & Lost Ghosts Massive Attack - MezzanineBoards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children Burial - Untrue Panda Bear - Person PitchBjork - Homogenic Amon Tobin - Bricolage The Field - From Here We Go to Sublime That's kind of an across the board who's who. I italicized my favorites, though they not be exactly in the vein you are looking for. Though Dummy generally holds the title, I think Mezzanine is the best trip hop record made. Untrue is more a dubstep departure, incredible stuff though, texture is great. Person Pitch is just my favorite thing that's been done in electronic music in a while, Panda Bear's sort of Beach Boys, reverb laden album is such a masterpiece, and while I absolutely love Animal Collective, this is probably the best output.

You're my hero Keeper. I've already got half the albums you mentioned, but you gave me a little direction to go in my search...thanks. I'll let you know my impressions at a later time.
Oh and I agree Mezzaine > Dummy

Oh and I agree Mezzaine > Dummy Doing what I can. I figured you'd probably heard a fair share of it, as the nice thing with electronic music is, all the little underground albums are... the hallmarks of the genre. Let me know what you think

They were here a couple weeks ago with Thrice and Alkaline Trio. Awesome show although I can't say I like their new album as much as their older stuff.
