Keeper any thoughts on the Chiodos release? I downloaded it yesterday and am about to give it a listen through. Can't wait for Thrice. Vheissu seems like so long ago. Chiodos was shit. I didn't like the original one, but even this I felt was worse. That said, it's selling really well Thrice is not my kind of music at all, yet I totally have a boner already for Alchemy Index. Going to be so incredible.

Haven't liked what I have heard from Chiodos so far. But Kanye's new CD, lives up to hype. Its jsut as short as Late Reg., and just as good, minus the dialogue studd between songs. Lyrics are great as always and this album is the best sounding so far...

Best hip-hop album this year is Cornel West, hands down. Kanye has some great production though.
Two new top 10 additions for me yesterday, Nellie MacKay and Foo Fighters. Good stuff. Motion City Soundtrack was a huge letdown though.

Going to be so incredible. I liked a couple songs off All's Well That Ends Well and thought I'd give Bone Palace Ballet a shot. There were some decent tracks, but overall pretty meh. My top three from Vheissu were Image, Music Box, and Red Sky. Pretty pumped for the new one.

Especially the last four, maybe five songs. The end of the CD really closed it out perfectly. I just wish he could have put three or four more songs on the album...

I will say that after listening to the Foo Fighters 'Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace' a few times through, it is one of my favorites. Maybe it is just early awe, but I already like it better than In Your Honor. It just seems solid the whole way out with some really catchy songs. It is a change of pace from their regular stuff, and that is awesome. The closing track of the album, 'Home' is one of the best songs I think the band has done.

I get a little bored in the middle, but the ends of the album make up for it so much that it's still one of my top albums.

I'm downloading the new Foo Fighters album now. I will tell you what I think after I listening to it.
But I really would like to see Mudvayne release there new album sometime this year, and I'd like to hear the new Seether album, but I have a feeling that it won't be too good.
Also Emery, Jimmy Eat World, and Alter Bridge have new albums coming out. I prey that 2007 has a better end, then the crap that has been produced this.

Based on the first few songs, Emery is going to be horrid. Shame, The Question was a good release. Jimmy Eat World, however, will likely be my album of the year. I hate to hold it up so high, but based on the demos, and the final version of Big Casino, I really think it'll eclipse Boxer for me... at least until Say Anything comes out the week after.

Kudos to Dave Grohl. In a recent interview, he had this to say about Paris Hilton.
"Paris is f--king lame." and "a total raging, disgusting, rich, lazy party slut."

I'm going to take this thread back 40 years or so by saying I'm currently on a major Pink Floyd/The Who kick. That is all.

I downloaded the new Exies CD, A Modern Way of Living With the Truth. It sounds pretty good. The vocals aren't as good as in the past, but the Guitars are so much better. Finally an album I waited for didn't suck this year.

Serj Tankian's 'Elect The Dead' came out yesterday. I haven't bought it yet but I have heard a few tracks off of it. I enjoyed what I heard, but I have heard mixed things about the album.
