thats why I hated my roommates last year because they were such a bunch of pricks for smoking weed in my dorms... plus it was utah.. but good thing if they ever got busted I would'nt get in trouble at all because i told my RA in the early onset of thier smoking weed that I would never do it.... but that all changed when I moved back to oklahoma... (not the point) still it would've helped me that i was covering my tracks.. but that sucks for you blaze

dont get me wrong, college is too fun but Im in a shithole right not and even if Im allowed back at Mason- my heart doesnt belong to that school anymore. I'd probably go back to Florida and go to a community college and transfer to USF or UCF.
the main thing that Im being convicted for is being around alcohol and weed. It says in the rule book that if you are in the area of that stuff, you will be convicted even if you arent consuming it. If that is the case, a shitload of people should/will get caught. That rule is so gay but I understand why they enforce it.
I just cant stand school rite now, im goin to miss all my classes, and after tomorrow, I'll have a better idea if I stay or go.

Another thing that lifted my spirits is my dormmates. Everyone on the floor has my back 100%. They decided to write a petition to the University and get signatures. They also check on me almost every 45 minutes and do some stuff that makes me smile.
Its like these guys are my family....that's why it'd be so hard to snitch on the ones that smoke pot. I love these guys and they're showing me how much they dont want me to go.

Life in Canada is so different...
I'm in first year here. The only thing we are not allowed is 40 ounces of alcohol in one bottle. We're technically not allowed any alcohol if we're underage (I'm 18...legal at 19), but nobody would ever, EVER bust me for having anything in my room. A girl brought over a 40 of rum to my room...and the dons (RAs) walked in and they laughed...even though it wasn't mine...they just asked me to pour the tiny bit at the bottom out.
Our residence permits us to smoke pot too...as long as it's in the designated smoking area and we don't do anything to disturb quiet hours or anything like that. No drinking or smoking in public places...keep stuff quiet, don't wave it in authorities faces...and it's all fair game here.
"Do whatcha gotta do, son." - words from the RA on the floor a couple of levels below me.
But Blaze, that is a poor situation that you're in...that's honestly really stupid. I understand the "legalities" of the aiding and abetting your roommate...but he didn't kill a man. You guys are in university...frankly they should be teaching you to be better people, and not snitching drugbusters. It's all about relationships and character to me. I'm pretty sure that's how they would approach it here.
I promise I don't go to a sketchbag school either...Queen's U is one of if not the top schools in Canada, and the number one school for engineering......sooo...yeah. Canada rules.

Well, ya know, engineers get more done when they're drunk.

yeah its 19 in canada
I went to windsor once while I was in detroit and its pretty much the trashiest "city" Ive ever seen. Nothing but 19-20 year olds getting hammered, people having sex on the sidewalk, and other wackos.

Windsor IS trash. It makes Detroit look like the shining city on the hill. I remember some old guy tried to sell me cigars when I was there. I was 10.

Windsor is filth. Actually, most places west of including Toronto are pretty dirty.
I come from east of Toronto in a quiet town. My university is even further east from my home town...and it's a very pretty town on Lake Ontario. Then if you go even further east...it's Montreal. If you want to ever visit a city with great nightlife...and where the drinking age is 18...I would suggest Montreal.
PS - So true DB. Engineers are pretty notorious for exceptionally nerdy drinking. And I'm working on figuring out how to get AIM on this new HP I've got seeing as we haven't spoken in months. Much to discuss.

too many positive things about canada in this thread imo Some Canadian was driving in front of me the other day on my way to campus and felt that to be in the turning lane meant to be in half of my lane.

to get on topic, my roommate is expelled and a decision about me will be made next week. However, the school was supose to make a decision today when me and my dad went to a meeting but I guess I made a strong stand and I dont think im gonna get suspended but will be lightly punished. Now the decision was delayed. Unfortunatly, I have no TV, no XBOX 360....hardly nothing in my room so im gonna miss all the football game's this weekend But I do plan on goin to the Wizards home opener against Orlando just to get my mind off this shit. I just hope they'll have tickets at the gate.

quick update....
I'm transfering.....to the University of South Florida (hopefully. I have to apply by Nov.15th)
My punishment at George Mason was: evicted from housing, placed on university probation for 2 years, and have to do a 5 page paper on bystander responsibility (wtf?)
I tried looking for places but the county Mason is one of the richest in the U.S. (Fairfax county) and renting is too expensive for me....even if I do move into a townhouse or something where I can rent out a single room.
I talked this over with my parents saying my will to stay at Mason and even Virginia is being tested and now they are supporting me and by returning to Tampa, I can commute from home to USF and just regroup since things have been happening way to fast.
Even if I dont get into USF, im still goin to transfer to some school in Florida.

I hope you get into USF man. Wouldn't want you to fall back onto a community college (not that that's a bad thing, I'm going to one right now) because you clearly worked your ass off to get where you're at and it doesn't seem fair for some tokin' bastard to take that away from you.
