As many of you know I have not been on here in a while...and want to see how your guys teams did.
I coached special teams this year at Homestead Senior High in Miami-Dade County which is considered one of the best for high school football.
We opened up 0-2...in week 2 we played the #1 team in the nation, Northwestern...we had the lead at the half 9-6 and ended up losing 28-18 after a late TD that we gave up. We played them the second toughest all year next to South lake Carrol in Texas.
After that game our team changed and we went on to win 3 straight and then lost to #5 in the state at the time Columbus. We then won 5 in a row and captured the first district title in 19 years at the school and beat arch rival South Dade 5-2.
We won the 1st round of the playoffs easy and then had to play South Dade again. We had a kickoff returned for a TD that was called back due to a block in the back call and ended up losing 9-6. Not to mention we had 5 turnovers.
I don't see anyone beating Northwestern but at least we can say we were the toughest Florida team to play them.
Anyone lucky enough to still be playing and hopefully in the hunt for a state championship?

They are still in it. They play Harrisburg in Hershey PA this Saturday. I'm def going to the game. I played with a lot of the guys that are still on the team obviously. If they win they make the final 4 in the state. Gov. Mifflin ---- And also, good to hear from you CC, it's been awhile since you've been around

I was really busy. I had to train the horses early in the morning and then if I had anything racing stay until the race and sometimes that can be until 3:30 and then football practice from 4 until 7. But, now I'm free during the later parts of the day.

Oh yeah, and we have only one loss this season and it came in overtime... we also managed to beat that team in the last round of the playoffs

I think they ended up losing in the first round of the sectional playoffs. Finished something like 6-3.

My Mobile HS is playing in the state semis against Prattville (it's going to be ugly for us)
My BR HS lost in the quarterfinals to Westgate HS, who will get crushed by Destrehan Friday night.

David ya'll did suck.
We went 10-2, lost in the first round of the playoffs 41-35. Now West Charlotte (Our only regular season loss) is being reported as having one of their starters being ineligible, and could be forced to forfeit their season. Damn that this didn't happen 3 weeks ago. If that would've been the case, we would've been undefeated, had a home playoff game, and won a conference title.

My ex-highschool Fairhope did finish 7-3 this season. They lost in the first round to Wekumpka, or something like that...

My former high school's team lost in the state playoffs on a blocked field goal. Needless to say I was ecstatic.

My ex-highschool Fairhope did finish 7-3 this season. They lost in the first round to Wekumpka, or something like that... McGill had to pull some crazy shit to beat that team. Down like 27-13 with around five minutes left, we come back and score with :02 left to make it 27-26. So we go for two and win it right there 28-27. Big fun.

My HS, Carmel High School, won state defeating Pike 16-7 to end their storybook 13-0 season. Our QB is a junior and is getting recruited by Notre Dame, LSU, USC, Florida, IU and he's just a complete beast. High chance of him going pro.

Which makes your HS team almost as good as the high school butternuts goes to!
Apparently, our coach won coach of the year in the local area.

My alma mater finished 3-8, but with Missouri's crazy district system, you can lose your first eight games, and still get into the playoffs. They lost their first seven, and won their three district games to make the playoffs.
Sadly, after having the #1 team in the state on the ropes for a half, they came back and dominated the second half on their way to beating us and winning the next three after that to take state.

I can't wait for next year though. I'll be starting on Varsity as a junior barring injury after I saw spot playing time as a sophomore. We're getting a transfer from Charlotte Country Day at QB that runs in the 4.4s, so our spread offensive scheme will stay the same, and that keeps me happy with all of the passing, and reverses.
Our punter is graduating this year so I'll be taking over punting duties on varsity as well. I just hope I can get a better #, because 81 just isn't going to cut it (For the sophomores on varsity we had last pick, and it was either 81 or 87.

I might be transferring next season. I feel kinda bad if I'm going to a different school just to get some serious playing time/ some stardom lol.
