Well as a trainer you never want to be home early. There are only two reasons why you would be in such a busy profession...1.) Your horses aren't that good or 2.) Your hurt.
I'm home early with number 2. At around 6 this morning I was taking the wraps off of one of my horses and bam, he kicked me right in the chest and I flew back. I finished doing what I had to do and went to the hospital around 9. I have 4 broken ribs. As a trainer you don't get holidays off and work 365 days a year. I won't be able to tomorrow but I still have to go and make sure the assistants do everything they are supposed to do.
