After that topic asking about abortion and gay marriage, I was wondering what the general idea about evolution was on here. This is more an exercise of curiosity than me wanting a debate. So answer away and restore my faith in the DC community.

I think it was god. The sports media thinks it was anyone from the SEC...espically Tim Tebow.

Could someone who voted god created humans come up with a reasoning beyond "it says so in the bible"? I'm not trying to attack Christianity or anything but I would have thought that, by now, the theory of evolution is more or less a scientific fact.
I think what people misunderstand is that I am not saying that by believing in evolution that I am saying God doesn't exist. Simply I am saying that perhaps, if God exists, then maybe he chose a different path (aka evolution) for his creation of us. I think the real problem is that alot of Christian take the bible as being non-fiction reading material (aka everything actually happened) when I think you should just try to take the moral of each story out rather than taking it word for word as literal.
I just kinda want to hear a Christians reasoning for belief in Creationism is all

I generally tend to side with Darwin's theory.

The fact that four people voted for the last option makes me want to cry.

If you want the whole intelligent design rationale, I suppose I could try to convey that, but some other time. I'm f'n tired.

For those that believe in evolution - don't go to Kansas. If you even so much as whisper the word "Darwin", you might get shot on sight. Oh yeah, it's the same state that is home to the "God hates gays" people.
I'm like usma...I want to believe in ID, but just not too sure about it. Evolution for me.

Oh, so that's why Peter Griffin was obligated by the state of Kansas when he was trying to talk about evolution..

Thats the country of Kansas. Not where i live. We had a student teacher, who used to be in the navy who walked right in the middle of those protesters and said "Im Gay" lol pretty funny too because our teacher was a UFC fighter.

the theory of evolution is more or less a scientific fact. Sorry, I just wanted to be an asshole and point out the irony in this statement. You used the word theory and fact in the same sentence... lol Anyway, not to be a jerk. I don't really have any certain reasons. I see good viewpoints and reasons from both sides... some evolution and some creation. I think it came down to... ok, both could be true... I honestly feel both have about the equal chance of being true... so I'm gonna choose to believe the one where when I die I go to a better place... not just into the ground and that's the end of it.
