I just caught an article on CNN about Hilary Clinton's campaign suggesting that Barack Obama's former drug use will hurt his campaign. My question to you is this: Would you have a problem if the president of this country once used any drugs?
Personally, I don't find an issue if the person is clean. Maybe it is the cocaine thing that is the real issue. I have a hard time believing people would not vote for someone because they smoked weed.

If Obama kicked the habit, then i dont think this should be a big deal. I'm sure Hilary did some bad things when she was young. It's just her trying to gain any advantage over her opponent. It's politics.

Bill smoked weed, George W Bush did coke and drove drunk a couple times I believe.. why should this hurt Obama? Hilary is only squaking right now because shes hurting cuz Obama has Oprah and her legion on his side.

Honestly, if Bush has a DUI and has done drugs before, why is there any reason why this should hurt Obama?

He clearly kicked the habit, it's a non-issue, we knew all along that Hillary was going to keep it until the last minute because she has to result to trash politics, it's not going to be a problem.

I'm very anti-drug (hell, I am anti-alcohol), but I don't have a problem supporting Barack, because he admitted to it on his own accord. It's not as though he was questioned and fessed up to it, he willingly published it in his book several years back. |
