For the past couple of days I've had a big problem with search engines such as yahoo, google, etc. I've tried everything to fix it but nothing will work so I'm asking you guys. Here's the problemo...every time I search for something all of the links come up just like usual but whenever I click on one of the links I am USUALLY rerouted to some add site like click2find or ecata. This does not always happen, sometimes the link I click will go to the designated webpage but this only happens about 30% of the time.
Another thing I noticed is the yahoo images search. Everytime I use this search, none of the images show up and firefox immediately closes with an error. This only happens in yahoo...a google image search works fine.
So my question for you is what should I try? This is really making me angry b/c every time i search I have to copy and paste the link into the browser so any help is appreciated.

Could be a virus. Some of them mess with your internet settings to the point that it changes what google.com ip addy is and replaces it with a mirror site that they control. So it looks like google.com, but really it is something different all together.
Run your virus scanner, and if you have Norton or McAfee, get the Nod32 trial version and give it a run. It could just be something weird, but that's the first place I would check into.

I've got McAfee and I've tried everything with it. I'll go try out that Nod32 and see what happens.

Sounds like adware. If Nod32 doesn't work, try Windows Defender.
