Damn that sucks, wat kind of dog. Golden Retriever. I actually have two goldens. Was he pure golden or was he a mix? I have a pure with a monster head named Cooper and a smaller one named Wiley. |

golden labs and bulldogs are by far the best dogs. My family has a Lhasa Apso who is lazy as shit. Seriously he sleeps like 20 hours a day Golden retreivers have the best disposition and attitude, so that's why I love them. Well, to help cope with the loss, we picked out a golden pup today. This little guy is adorable, he fell asleep in my arms. We don't get to pick him up for a week, but the little guy loves my Northface jacket already. |

I honestly wish my dog was smart. My dog is so amazingly stupid. You can throw a treat down by it's feet, a minute or two later, the dog find it.

Man, that blows sportsbuck. But Goldens grow up so fast and so gentle...its amazing. In March of 2007, my family got a golden that had german sheppard in him also and he was only two weeks old (and already neutered). We named him Orlando. He slowly grows bigger and then I go off to college for four months and cant watch the growth. Come back home and he is HUGE! 50 pounds huge but he acts like a baby still. Here's some pics.... We rescued ours from the Animal Protection League. Makes me really sad to think that anyone could have abused them, as they're really the sweetest dogs in the world (everyone says that about theirs, but still). But then I see what great lives they have now and it makes me happy that we could help at least 2. I hope to adopt at some point after I move out. |

A family friend of ours did that. Had 2 litters of puppies, found them all good homes and now just keeps the mom and dad. |

I own 3 dogs and they are a german sheppard, german sheppard/rotwiler mix, and a golden retriever and he is by far my favorite. He loves waking up and going with me to the track in the morning. He never gets in the way either, he usually lays in an empty stall or will lay in the office if I'm busy. However the german sheppard is the smartest and is one of the best dogs i've ever owned. The rot/shep mix is kinda smart but too wild.
Also, speaking of putting aniamals to sleep, I had a horse go down last week and had the same injury as Barbaro. We just put the horse to sleep because we didn't want to have him suffer like he did and he didn't have a bright future with breeding.
