Natural bias for Rice. Jack Morris doesn't really have any outstanding statistics, and I do think that Blyleven should be granted entry.

I don't care what you say about Jim Rice, he had a hell of a career. 8 seasons with 100+ RBI (led the league 3 times), 7 seasons with 25 or more home runs (led the league 3 times), 4 seasons with 200 or more hits and a lifetime batting average of .298.

I think no for Morris and yes for Blyleven should be obvious.

The weird thing about Rice's case is that everyone says he was the most feared hitter or whatever, but he was outperformed by Dwight Evans nearly every season. Evans definitely had the better career. Rice was done by 33.

Not specifically, but if player A has a much better career than player B and both played for the same team at the same time, and player A gets zero HoF discussion, it makes little sense for player B to go in.

128 career OPS+ for Rice as a DH/OF. Tied with (among others) Tim Salmon, Ryan Klesko, and John Olerud.

I think the Hall is getting watered down when you let people in just because they had 3 or 4 great seasons. The worst thing is that there were mistakes made earlier, but some people try to use "well he's better than player x who's in the hall" as justification when its really irrelevant.
