Since it was a holiday (family day) today I went out last night to a bar with some friends. I started chatting up this cute girl and whatever. Bought some drinks and whatnot and we talked about what we were doing. This is the convo we had (keep in mind she was very drunk):
Her: So do you work or go to school or what?
Me: I'm a student at the UofA. I'm in civil engineering.
Her: Oh cool. So where are you from?
Me: I'm from Fort Saskatchewan, but I pretty much do everything in edmonton.
Her: Oh but you live in the city during school right?
Me: No I drive every day.
Her: But I thought you lived in Saskatchewan? (this girl had been living in Edmonton her whole life)
Me: No Fort Saskatchewan is like half an hour out of edmonton. Yeah I drive every day for like an hour to get to school
Her: Oh cool. So whats Saskatchewan like? I heard it's really flat there. (at this point I'm almost about to leave but this girl was cute so I stuck with it)
Me: No I told you not Saskatchewan, Fort Saskatchewan is just outside Edmonton.
Her: Oh, I get it now. So do you work or go to school or what?
Needless to say that was the last straw, I took my drink elsewhere. I just couldn't take it anymore even if that girl was cute.
