Needed?

Hey guys. After looking at some of the higher rated dynasties on the site, I was wondering if layouts and graphics are needed. They make the page look good and all, but is there really a need? I know it probably separates a good page from a great page, but HTML is something I just don't get.

I would much rather just write and write, but is it worth it to have a fancy layout?

I've started my Notre Dame dynasty, but I don't know if I want to take the time to do a layout and what not. I played my season opener last night and I'm going to write it up tomorrow, so should I post that game and start working on a layout of some sort?

What should I do?

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO.

It's the most common misconception of everyone who joins the site....if you want a good dynasty, you NEED flashy HTML. It simply isn't true. Writing should be the focal point of any dynasty and if writing is good enough, the members who really appreciate it will give you good ratings.

But, there are a lot of people that rate down for not having HTML.

To me, a great dynasty needs html. BUT you can have a nice dynasty out of pure writing.
