Post comments in here. This will be the only thread. Bama: If this board is only for college football dynasties you can move it. I think it is for all dynasties so I'm putting it in here.OK, I'm going to try a forums style chise similar to the ones on mvpmods if anyone has seen those. I'll have screenshots and recaps for every game with updates from time to time on standings and stuff and possibly some side stories. I'm playing modded MVP 05 on MVP difficulty with some hard sliders so this will be a challenge. I'll post either today or tomorrow with a preview type article and some screenshots before I start playing games.

No...keep it here. I don't see there being enough demand to justify me making another board for this stuff. So hell, just post it.
It is technically for NCAA but unless I see a bunch of other posts coming in here for other sports, I'll let a couple of off label use go.

Why don't we make a board for each, then? Or at least re-name this one?

2007 Kansas City Royals Season PreviewSURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- After spending the last month and a half in Surprise, Arizona for Spring Training, the Royals are setting out to surprise the baseball world and make the playoffs. Kansas City, coming off their third consecutive 100-loss season, had an aggressive off-season that focused on grabbing help in the bullpen and rotation. General Manager Dayton Moore signed former Mariners starter Gil Meche, veteran closer Octavio Dotel, and four other pitchers to contracts over the winter. Moore is hoping that the players he signed will help improve the awful team ERA of 5.52 the Royals had last year. "I'm hoping to have a good year," said Dotel, who will become the Royals closer after a few years in a set-up role with other teams, "I think a good goal for myself is 30 saves. This team had a lot of blown saves last year, and I'm hoping that I can nail down leads in the ninth and get the team some W's." Dotel will be joined by David Riske, also a newly acquired reliever, in the bullpen. Riske will be in the set-up role for the Royals, and if Dotel is tired or hurt, he'll become the closer. The rest of Kansas City's bullpen will be filled by new faces, and it is likely that there will be a lot of movement between the minors and majors in middle relief. The lineup also looks relatively different this year. Gold Glover Mark Grudzielanek is the only infielder left from Opening Day last year. The second basemen will be joined by newly aquired shortstop Tony Pena Jr. and rookie of the year canidate third basemen Alex Gordon. Ryan Shealy is going to be the Royals starting first basemen, replacing Mark Teahan who has made the switch to outfield. Teahan will play right field next to David DeJesus is center. DeJesus will be counted on to have a great year both fielding and hitting, and he seems ready to do it. "My body feels good and I'm hoping to build on what I did last year," said DeJesus. "I know that this team is ready to do something specials and I think that we're going to surprise a lot of people." Emil Brown and Reggie Sanders will likely share the right field position, at least for the start of the year. Sanders will be worked into the lineup often, because his power will be needed in a Royals offense that may have trouble scoring runs. Jason Larue, Ross Gload, and Esteban German will also come in off the bench from time to time. Overall, the Royals have a new look and a new attitude going into this season. The Tigers did the unthinkable last year, and Kansas City is hoping that they can be next. If anything, KC is just looking to improve and keep up the rebuilding process. Something tells us that the Royals will be contending once again a few years down the road.

Game 1 of 3: Boston Red Sox (0-0) @ Kansas City Royals (0-0)Big Innings Boost Boston In Slugfest Left: Emil Brown touches home after a ninth inning homer - Right: Hideki Okajima pumps his fist after getting the winThe Royals were at home for Opening Day against the Red Sox, but it may have been better for them to have been on the road. Kansas City blew multiple leads to the disgust of the hometown fans and ended up losing a slugfest by the score of 12-9. Things got off to a good start with Gil Meche on the hill, but it didn't take too long to get ugly. Meche had a two-hitter and a 3-0 lead going into the fifth, but Boston put together a large string of hits and eventually took the lead 4-3. In the bottom of the same inning, Mark Teahan, who had a huge game for the Royals, got the lead back with one swing of the bat . The Kansas City right fielder ripped a 2-out, bases loaded double that brought everybody home. The Royals added another run in the frame and looked comfortable with a 7-4 lead after six innings. However, the Sox fought back in the eighth inning and took the lead for good. Jimmy Gobble and Jason Standridge allowed 7 runs to cross the plate, blowing the lead and losing the game for the Royals. Boston's David Ortiz led the inning off with a HR and then added a single later as the Sox batted around. Kansas City tried to stage a small comeback in the 9th when Emil Brown jacked a 2-run homer, but it wasn't close to enough and the Sox went on to win 12-9. Hideki Okajima worked 3.1 innings of relief to pick up the win, while Jimmy Gobble took the loss after giving up four runs and not retiring a batter in the 8th. Mark Teahan and Emil Brown led the offense, combining to go 5-10 for 2 HR and 7 RBI. David DeJesus, on the other hand, had a rough day. The Royals leadoff man went 0-5 with an RBI groundout. Clubhouse ReportImmediately following the game, Royals Manager Buddy Bell announced that Jimmy Gobble had been assigned to AAA Omaha. The opening in the roster will be filled by Zach Day, who will be used as a middle/long reliever. TomorrowThe teams will have a day off before going at it again on Wednesday. The pitching matchup will be Josh Beckett (0-0) vs. Odalis Perez (0-0).

Game 2 of 3: Boston Red Sox (1-0) @ Kansas City Royals (0-1)Perez Pitches Royals To Win Left: Red Sox players react after a bases loaded pop up - Right: David Riske reacts after nailing down the first win of the yearOdalis Perez wasn't close to perfect, but you might think he was if you looked at the score. The Royals lefty went 7 and 2/3 innings, allowing no runs despite giving up 11 hits. Perez got help from Zach Day, who got out of a bases loaded jam in the 8th, and David Riske, who got the save, in securing the victory. Kansas City's offense came from three guys, Ryan Shealy, John Buck, and Mike Sweeney. Shealy hit a single in the 2nd to score Sweeney, and Buck ripped a double in the 7th that scored Sweeney and Shealy. These three players have gotten off to great starts this year, all batting over .300. The Red Sox had 3 players with 2 hits, but they couldn't capitalize with runners in scoring position. The Royals escaped bases loaded jams unscathed twice in the game. Josh Beckett was the hard luck loser, going 8 innings and giving up only 3 runs on 7 hits. Around The League-Brian Giles of the Padres was suspended 6 games after charging the mound during an 11-10 loss against San Francisco. -The Florida Marlins signed C Javy Lopez -The Arizona Diamondbacks signed LF Carl Everett -The Philadelphia Phillies signed 1B Erubiel Durazo TomorrowKansas City and Boston play for the series when Zach Greinke goes up against Daisuke Matsuzaka. The Royals will look to spoil Dice-K's major league debut and improve to 2-1 on the year.

Love it. Especially since it's an R's dynasty.
I've been too busy/lazy to update mine, so it's cool to see someone else use them.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I think this will last because I'm done with consoles until I get a new one if I ever do get a new one. I'm not going to buy any games that are half the next gen version just so i can play on my ps2. Maybe for christmas ill get a 360 or ps3, but for now, I'll be playing this on my PC. I'll most likely get another game or two in today.

Game 3 of 3: Boston Red Sox (1-1) @ Kansas City Royals (1-1)Sweeney Slugs Royals To Win Left: Mark Grudzielanek completes a diving play - Right: Mark Sweeney's first homer of the game hits the left field foul poleThe Kansas City Royals are off to a 2-1 start after winning the final game of their three game set with AL East powerhouse Boston by a score of 9-8 earlier today. KC lead the whole game, and if it wasn't for some shaky bullpen pitching, the game would've been a rout. Royals starter Zach Greinke hurled 6.1 innings while allowing 3 runs to pick up the win. Things were made interesting when three different pitchers were used in the 9th inning, where the Red Sox scored four runs, but closer David Riske was able to get the last two outs and secure the win. The Royals got that big cushion due to an outburst of long balls. Mike Sweeney went deep twice, including a grand slam in the seventh, to collect 6 RBI and John Buck homered in the 8th for what proved to be the game winning run. Mark Teahan and David DeJesus also added RBI doubles. The Red Sox had five homers in the game, but most were solo jobs and it wasn't enough. Daisuke Matsuzaka took the loss after allowing 8 runs in 6.2 innings in his major league debut. Clubhouse Report-Joey Gathright was called up from AAA Omaha after the game, while outfielder Ross Gload was sent down. Gathright will be used as a backup and a serious pinch runner. -"We've got the bats going right now," said Royals Manager Buddy Bell. "We had a little trouble closing this one out but it was a solid game to get us a series win. If you win series', you'll be in a good spot at the end." Around The League-The Detroit Tigers signed SP Roger Clemens -Jason Varitek will miss the rest of the season after tearing a left shoulder muscle. TomorrowThe Royals will play host to the Detroit Tigers, who have started the year 1-2. Jorge de la Rosa will get the start for the Royals and go up against Mike Maroth. It is unknown at this point as to whether or not Kansas City will face Roger Clemens in the series.

Game 1 of 3: Detroit Tigers (1-2) @ Kansas City Royals (2-1)Bullpen Blows Comeback Chance; Royals Lose Big Left: Emil Brown is beaned early in the game - Right: Fernando Rodney pumps his fist after striking out the last batter and earning a saveKansas City's bullpen isn't getting any better. In fact, it may be getting worse. The culprit of the bullpen was Zach Day today, who let any chance the Royals had of winning a game against the Detroit Tigers slip away. Day came into the game in the top of the ninth, looking to keep the Tigers scoreless and give the Royal offense a chance to overcome the 2-1 deficit. However, Day did not do any sort of thing. The recent call up from AAA allowed the Tigers to score 7 runs in the inning, making a close well played game look like a blowout. Jorge de la Rosa pitched well for the Royals, going 6.1 innings while allowing 2 runs and striking out 2, but it wasn't enough for a no decision and de la Rosa was hit with the loss. Tigers started Mike Maroth who went 7 innings and allowed only a John Buck solo HR got the win, while Fernando Rodney, who entered the game in the 8th with the score 2-1, got the 2-inning save. The Royals only managed six hits in the game, with two coming from David DeJesus. The Tigers, on the other hand, pounded out 15 hits and got 2 RBI days from Gary Sheffield, Chris Shelton, and Carlos Guillen. Clubhouse ReportRumors going around the clubhouse are saying that Royals GM Dayton Moore is currently shopping some prospects, including recent call-up Joey Gathright, in order to try to bring some bullpen help in. While it would be nice to be able to keep all the players in the organization, bullpen help is the number one priority right now. TomorrowThe two teams will play again at Kauffman Stadium, and the nation will be watching. ESPN is covering the game, mainly due to the fact that it will be Roger Clemens' debut as a Tiger. The Rocket will go up against Brandon Duckworth in a matchup that looks as even as the number 7.
