And Catholics have a tendency of not telling the whole truth it seems...
It's not about good and bad that decides whether you go to Heaven and Hell. A murderer can go to Heaven if he is truly repentent of the sins he has committed and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, you know died on the cross for our sins all that. I really don't want to talk about this b/c it can truly turn into a war, I'm just trying to straighten something out.
You can be the "worst" person in the world, "worst" Christian in the world, in reality NO ONE is better than anyone else, though people like to believe it, you can still go to Heaven. Everyone sins, r3dneck told me some guy was at Auburn preaching about how he's Christ-like and thus never sins and I nearly fall on the floor because that's so misconstrued and twisted it's unbelievable.
There are people who have seemed like good people, good "Christians" even yet had no remorse for the sins they had committed that it's very possible, despite what their family wants to believe, they could be in Hell. I don't know, I don't make those judgments.
I'm pretty sure I missed something or messed something up, I'm still learning as it is...but yea. Please no wars.

Nor can they figure out which animal we came from. Also cooljay, I don't think you've got the whole idea of Christianity down...it's not that simple. what do you mean I don't get christianity? I went to a catholic school until grade 7. I believe his evidence is you saying I heard something on TV the other day that I found interesting, the dude said: God was created as a supernatural unproven force to explain the great mysteries of life before science could explain some of the them. Like: Where did we come from? God created us in the image of himself. (we now know evolution is blame for our existence and please don't argue with me on that its a scientifically proven fact) What happens when we die? If you're a good Christian you go to heaven everyone else goes to Hell (still have no idea on that one, but personally I think it'd be cool if the afterlife was like a create-your-own story book so you could go back and change the ending) |

You said if your a good christian you go to heaven and everyone else goes to hell. There is way more to it then that. Did you know just saying to someone "I'd bang Jessica Alba" is considered a sin? Yeah, it's a little thing called lust. I've taken classes on morality, they come in useful never. Oh and forever is a bitch to think about if you are aware of it too. Forever is a little outside our grasp as people because we are built into the idea of time, which has a need for a start to a finish. I would be ok with reincarnation if I wasn't aware I have lived before now. Since I don't have any memory of such things, I can assume either a) it doesn't happen or b) I won't know. Both work for me. The thing is, I want to be able to die. I want to have an end. Leave my mark on this world, change it for the people close to me, and then go to sleep forever. I'm not asking for more than that. That's more comforting for me, not have life just being a test to see where we end up. |

I know I made a mistake, I actually meant moreso the priests and what not rather than Catholics themselves but I'm sorry to those offended!  EDIT: Took out some of what I had. I know I made a mistake, I actually meant moreso the priests and what not rather than Catholics themselves because so many that I've seen or heard stuff from just seem so...not inspired and sometimes mega-conservative in their beliefs because of the way they are taught. Idk...I shouldn't have said it, if anything it was bad judgment on my part. Sorry to those offended! It's ok, I wasn't so much offended as thought you just stepped over the line a bit. No worries, I can understand your point of view. |
