This is ridiculous. Deciding what teams are relevant by what they've done in the last 50 years? Do you even understand the term relevant? So I guess SMU is relevant still too. (Just one example) Your missing the point. Michigan fans (not all, some like Chis and JTR), go around saying how great their team is and how they are "Leaders and Best" and pick on small Michigan State. I just think it's funny that we have more NC's than they do in 50 years and they call themselves "Leaders and Best". I have a hard time listening to that with that particular statistic. And the fact they try and make themselves feel better by making fun of us because they can't beat OSU, aka their daddy.

Pretty sure I go the point ... a national title 50 years ago makes you a better team today. Thats a terrible logic.

Playing the National Title card isn't really working here, Spartan. And to your recruiting point, the entire Big Ten was fine with the "run up the middle for 3 yards" game plan. And it hasn't worked tremendously well for as of late. Things are changing and I truly believe those who embrace the change will do better. So if State wants to take over the mantle of predictable running team, you're more than welcome.

I mean, it did take you 4 quarters to win. If I remember right, Caulcrick bowled your team right over on one drive. And sep, I didn't say we were a better team today. Never have.

I would say for at least 40 years! If I asked the question, how many National Titles has MSU won in the last 40 years, the answer is zero. Michigan has won 1 since then. Just because you can pick a timeframe to shape your argument certainly doesn't make it valid. You're twisting the facts because you so desperately want to be Michigan, but know you never will. Sorry if that's harsh...

It doesn't matter what type of offense you run, if you have the right players to run it, you will be successful... and Michigan State is recruiting the right players to run a pro-style offense. (Aside from a QB... which they desperately need)

Okay, this feels wierd taking Michigan's side and all, but let me say something. Michigan has been one of the top 2 teams in the B10 almost every year since Bo was hired.. and the fact that they still beat you and still finished second in the conference after having the opening to a season like theirs, with injuries to Chad Henne & Mike Hart, with that terrible, terrible secondary (Outside of Donovan Warren), says a lot.

Last I checked, Henne and Hart both played in that game, and their secondary is bad? Check ours.

Neither were ever 100% healthy last year. With the way the defense played I feel we were a healthy Henne away from beating OSU. I like you a little bit more now, SB. Not for defending Michigan but you're acting a bit less biased than you used to.

The Big Ten sucks.
There does that solve anything for you people? Are we seriously arguing about two teams who, one can't finish the second half of a season (Michigan State) and two, can't live up to their expectations and are terribly overrated every year (Michigan)?
I'll take a discussion on teams that win like Florida, USC, Notre Dame (normally), Alabama (normally), Texas, Oklahoma, and even Ohio State before I wanna see double-sided hissy fits about Michigan/Michigan State who both duly suck.
