Idk if it's a playstation only thing but I downloaded the demo to give it a play and I must say I'm not very impressed... ...  I think I'll be waiting to see how Madden goes. Which still isn't promising. |

From playing the demo, I actually like this game. Player models look a whole lot better this year, not to mention there is a good atmosphere with the refs, cheerleaders, etc. Pretty much, it looks really good, and it actually plays good, at least in my opinion.
The one thing I wished they would change is the freakin announcers. God, I hate hearing the same crap. Seriously, how hard is it to come up with some fresh lines once in awhile?

well it was just a demo maybe that was one of the last things they're going to add to although I am in agreeance with you the announcing has to be better than in 08. I would like it if they had an actually mini-preview show highlighting each team's strengths/weaknesses and interesting matchups like they do in real football

They have some good ideas, but they just don't use them to their full potential in my opinion. But the atmosphere in this game is a big plus. Everything just looks better (fans look like people). Cheerleaders and referees too. |

the pregame for ps2 was stupid though they would highlight one player, always an "impact player" and say how he was so good. I want to see them highlight which players will need to play well for their teams to have success which matchups will decide the game (like a star wr vs a cb) and such

I'm different than you guys in this situation. I like when they don't say shit so I can just play the game. I liked 07 a lot but was a little bit dissapointed with 08. I'm hoping to get a 360 soon so I might buy 09.

The 360 demo plays very smoothly and it feels more like a college football game than just a sim with all of the celebrations and sounds, etc. I'm hopeful they might add a thing or two before the actual release, but on the surface the game looks and plays better. |

I have the PS3... and it's not that everything doesn't run smooth... it's that it seems to be at an awkward speed. unrealistic I guess..... it's growing on me though
