The Dynasty Thread

I know we all don't have time to post dynasties or don't care anymore, but I like talking about them so ergo the thread.

I'm doing a Buckeyes dynasty until the roster patch comes out... I'm 8-0 so far.

The Wisconsin game was awesome... I couldn't get any offense established and I was down 14-0 with 5:21 to go in the 4th. I just started pounding Beanie and he ran for like 180 yards in that quarter alone with 2 TD's. On the final drive I completed a long pass from Boeckman to DeVier Posey down to the Wisky 9 yard line and kicked the GW FG and got the hell out of there lol.

It looks like I'm on a collision course with an SEC team, Auburn and Florida are both undefeated and it looks like they'll win out so I'll play the winner of the SEC title game, oh joy to the world. Michigan is at 3-5 right now so I'm enjoying that.

I finally found some sliders that fit me, a tweaked version of NJpapi's so I am really enjoying this game now! First time since '06. I really liked '06 just because of the custom signs, rfth and everything was all new.

Anywho, my schedule goes....

Played a really good game last night against call. I took an early 14-0 lead and they came back to tie it and it was back and forth from there. 35-35 in the 4th when I took the lead on a deep ball, and then on Cal's last drive they got all the way to my 23 and Longshore got picked so I sealed it with a FG. Awesome. Gonna keep these sliders until conference season and update them if I need to.

BTW Sportsbuck, why don't you just download from NJpapi? I've had his rosters since day 1 and have edited all sorts of stuff and no problems whatsoever.

I simmed a season just for fun last night and Michigan finished 3-9. Threet is garbage. Matthews is all over the place though.

Mine are from a guy on OS and I edited Ohio State's equipment and changed a few players... I dunno why I'm waiting for the patch but I am.

The Tulane game was awesome. I was trailing 31-14, going into the fourth quarter, with the ball. I scored a touchdown early in the fourth, on Tulane's next possession, I would get an interception. The offense would score again, making it 31-28. Tulane got the ball back with 2:40 left on the clock. They drove down the field with ease, and were getting close to a knockout touchdown. However on 3rd and 6 an interception was thrown and returned 91 yards for the touchdown. Tulane got the ball back, with a minute and half or so left. I would get a sack that forced a fumble, that would be returned giving us the 42-31 edge, with hardly no time on the clock.

It's an EA Sports video game, the sim engine is going to put out some crazy stuff. I had Vandy have a winning record my first year last year...

My bigger point however, is that if it wasn't Michigan you wouldn't have commented. I'm not being an asshole, because I probably hate on LSU and Auburn as much as you do on UM. Just it's funny to go out of your way to do it on dynasty thread.

I restarted my dynasty because it was too easy and I wanted to move up to Heisman..

I've been having some great games with Papi's sliders on Heisman.. The USC game was a real defensive struggle, Beanie had like 37 carries for around 135-140 yards and 2 TD's, and Boeckman was erratic. Pryor came through with a few short yardage plays ala Tebow as a freshman. My defense really came up huge. Malcolm Jenkins shut down his side of the field at all times so I shifted my safeties to the other side and managed to contain their passing attack.

Maybe it was dumb luck but it seemed like USC changed up their run play selection based upon the back. Joe McKnight was the starter and when he was in they ran a lot of screens to him as well as some stretch plays and tosses to get him outside. Then, he got injured and Stafon Johnson came in. With Johnson they tried to pound it up the gut.

My first year as BC I went I think 10-3 or 9-4..winning the Chik-Fil-A Bowl against Alabama. In year two, I'm 6-1 or something..don't really remember. Haven't played in a week or so.

In my Hawaii Dynasty I went 9-2 and I lost to Fresno State and Georgia (I changed my schedule up). I got accepted to the Emerald Bowl v.s #12 Kansas and won. I ended up #17, After the 28th ranked class, I am starting on my second season.

Just finished season 1 in my Ohio State dynasty, and with the roster patch coming out as well as me winning the NC its over.

I'm not real proud of all of the blowouts.. the majority of the games were good ones until late in the game when I'd get a pick 6 or a fumble recovery and that would screw the score up. Noel Devine won the Heisman despite the fact that I ran for 2,116 yards and 33 TD's with Beanie, and I shut Devine down in the NCG. Pat White threw 4 INT's as well..

I was playing on Heisman with NJPapi's 3.0 sliders, FWIW.
