I broke mine and said red ring. Pretty sure I just got a new one, but it was free. yeah but I bought mine about 3 years ago now so the warranty was expired Um, I bought mine used and, therefore, didn't have a warranty. Still, Microsoft covered it. |

JTR, every system Microsoft sells, no matter to who, was or is covered by a 3 year warranty for the red ring. They don't know a system is traded in used, they just know it's one of their systems. They track when the system was bought new by serial number.
