its only pointless as long as everyone thinks its pointless QFT Palin is a joke for the record. Still, in my mind there is only one canidate a reasonable person can vote for out of the big two parties. His name is John McCain. So while Palin stinks of obvious pandering and will probably be a joke of a vice president, I prefer it to having Obama running the country.

Bama I heard the first debate is at Ole Miss, if it is are you going to try to go? It is. There are only like 50 tickets for students so no. Still, it's going to be awesome that week with all the media and stuff in town.

The last (I think) Clinton/Obama debate at UT was a pretty cool event. It too only had like 300 seats for students - done at a random draw, over 10k students signed up for it. The bro-in-law didn't win the draw but then was able to go as part of the marching band. I was never around for any of it but the bro-in-law saw a couple of the rallies, pictures with Chelsea, etc... pretty cool experience on campus.
