Think they're tied for the wild card now and dropped a big lead. Nonetheless, the firing makes no sense heading into the final stretch. It's like they want to lose and ya know, maybe they do. This was their year to do good and they just stuck a dagger in them to keep them from doing so.

I don't think it made a difference. The Mets were collapsing no matter who was chasing them.

I don't think it made a difference. The Mets were collapsing no matter who was chasing them. The Brewers won 6 of their last 7 and still just made it by one game. Mets could have collapsed all they wanted and still made the playoffs if Milwaukee continued collapsing at a faster rate. |
