Okay, so I got a notice from school saying I had a DMCA violation. I had my internet taken away. After completing a little course, I am back online and have removed downloaded material and downloading programs. I am in no trouble with school but am really paranoid about being served a subpoena. I don't download much so I was surprised, but what do you think the odds are of being subpoenaed?

(I don't need people preaching to not download)

Where are you at school?

Basically what happens is they'll make you a pay 1,000 fine -or- try to fight them in court. If your school gave you a violation, then odds are they comply with those folks and subpoenas aren't unrealistic if you continue
