I'm in the market for a new notebook computer. Right now, I'm leaning towards a Macbook, but are there any others I should consider before making the plunge on a new comp soon?
FWIW, I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 currently.

You honestly can't go wrong with a Mac in my opinion. No way, no how.

I have an HP and it is pretty solid. I think it all depends on what features you are looking for though.

Consider what you're going to need and if everything is compatable, I'd suggest the Mac. Personal peference, but I love the OS.

Nothing I need that doesn't run on a Mac so I guess I don't have that problem. Windows Vista blows and XP is outdated.

I'm looking for something with a little bit more graphical power for gaming...although I'm not looking to bog down my computer with a bunch of stuff. Not sure a Mac can handle that, but I've heard good things about the Mac's OS. I have XP SP3 on mine right now, and there's just not a lot I can do with it.

I'm rolling with XP SP3 right now. I'm just using this computer for school and internet, so I don't need much more than that. I'm going to stick with this one until I get a little money/it breaks down.

I can't wait till I get a mac. Its pretty much what I need when it comes to my film editing. Still stuck with my shitty dell from 5 years ago.
