Funny for you, stupid for me.
Usually the moral of the story comes at the end but this is so important that I will start with it:
Always check and re-check your exam schedule in college.
Ok so heres the story I was taking this Mechanical Engineering class this term and it has been kicking the shit out of me. I missed a few assignments cause I actually could not do them, I failed the midterm (43% and the average was 76%), and really its just been miserable. Now I should have just dropped the class and forgotten about it but I can't really afford to cause it cost like $600.
So over the last month and a half or so I worked hard and I started to understand the second half material much better. I was feeling good about the final but as school ended on the 3rd (last wednesday) I needed a few days to recharge the batteries so to speak. I meant to check my exam schedule on Wednesday but I ended up forgetting cause I went to the Rise Against concert (which was redonk) and then on Thursday it slipped my mind again. Friday night rolled around and I was at an MFC fight (low-rent UFC) and remembered I hadn't done it yet.
So at 11:30 PM I checked it only to discover that my final had occured that morning at 9. So with a zero on the final worth 50% of my mark, I am guaranteed to fail. Luckily, it's not a required course and rather an option and I have a full year left to fill the credits I need so it aint the end of the world. But it just really pisses me off that I could be that stupid.
