I was just wondering if any of you guys have toyed around with Avid Manager at all...Its a small site like DC was and I am pretty sure it allows you to create your own HTML based site...
I think I may give it a shot...

actually... it's not that bad...
but i'd rather do a forums one...
if elected as new forums manager... i'm going to make these boards more dynasty friendly for those who would still like to do it lol

it's not terrible... just def not dc... not much html at all... just the stat entering and reports. it's ok to use.

Scratch that...Im gonna give it a try
Im currently 3 games into a Western Kentucky Dynasty so Ill start from there!!! Ill have it posted in the NCAA Dynastys page if anyone wants to check it out

Do some advertising. Screw Maddenmania, it's all about NCAA there and the only people that really get feedback are people like BDawg and stuff because of their pictures and such. OperationSports is a mess like ours with everything in one place. |

Not to shit on the parade but that is what we were suppose to do last time. Well, we tried to recreate DC really and not too many people care to do HTML dynasties anymore. I wasn't talking anything crazy but it'd be nice to see this place cleaned up a little bit, the dynasty sections sorted out, and send out some invites and such. People just want somewhere where people will actually read their stuff and MM and OS don't deliver on that. |

If this were to go through at all, I think you need to find somebody to lead it to take all opinions into consideration. Then, the best ideas would be meshed together so the best possible product would be put forth. Also, the final ideas picked by this lead would need to be passed by a majority of the people actively contributing ideas to this "revival".
Also, you need a system of maturity when it comes to all of this. A lot of what brings these efforts down is that there is a lack of commitment and pointless internal conflicts. While disagreements can be viewed as crucial to get the best product, it is the fact that they get out of hand. When they continue to grow they only impede the growth of the project and ultimately kill it.
On top of that, the absolute top point should be simplicity. There is no need for excessive persons of power, creative design, etc. The whole dynasty thing needs to have a clear idea that you do not need a Bible-worth of things to even be recognized. You will never get a community going with users thinking they need to have a legendary work. This is a hobby and should not at all be meant to overtake lives. I can attest to this from my start on this site. For those of us who have been here a decent amount of time, we have seen how many of us have become unreasonably fanatical over the site.
