1984 - George Orwell
That book you're reading sounds intriguing. Confusing too but I'd imagine you get used to the differences from normal books, I might have to check it out.

You have made a great choice with Orwell. Anyway, House of Leaves is very interesting so far. It is weird though, in set up that is. Footnotes with footnotes that are important to one aspect of the story is cool though.

Yea I've liked what I've read thus far, I wasn't sure I would. After 1984, I'm either gonna read Tom Sawyer or Catcher in the Rye. I'm trying to read some of the great novels I never gave appreciation to when I was younger.
Also, Twilight sucks and I was bored with it after 3 chapters...if anyone was thinking of reading it. My sister had it so I had to see what all the excitement was about..it failed. Also tried to give The Winter of Discontent by John Steinbeck a read but I wasn't feeling that one much either.

I hated Catcher in the Rye. I didn't care either but I understand it quite a bit more now so I guess I wanna read it over again.

Read The Grapes of Wrath. It is long and is difficult at times to get through, but it is such a great novel. I also highly recommend The Jungle as well.
I really enjoy reading the classics. The best part is that if you go on Half.com you can get them for about .75 cents a piece. It is great to get to know a ton of authors and works.

It was interesting.. i got it for my dad for xmas so i read it before giving it to him. It gives you a pretty good description of what was going on for those guys on the ground but there isn't nearly as much juicy info that I guess I was hoping for.
