This isn't too huge but I think it is a pretty good move. Saints have released Defensive Coordinator Gary Gibbs.
Rumor has it that they have been in contact with Jacsonville's DC. Also, another candidate for the NY Jets job may be Boston College's head coach. I have heard that he recently took an interview.

I know that... That's why I said he should be a cadidate for the Jets job. You don't have him listed, so I posted.

That's cause I'm a lazy bum and haven't updated the list since December.

Saints signed a new defensive line coach. We got former Denver Broncos coach Bill Johnson. Personally, I do not know much about the guy. Hopefully he will get the guys we have to improve a little. Denver usually has a pretty decent defensive line so we shall see...

Might want to add Tony Dungy to the list...ESPN is reporting he will retire. Sad to see him go. I wish all coaches were like him.

You can now probably add Herm Edwards to the "fired" list literally within hours, I would guess.

So DB, you like the hiring of Jim Shwartz? ? as well as Matt Stafford being drafter numero uno potentially?

Bucs fire John Gruden as well as GM Bruce Allen. Ehh...I dont know how I feel about this one I love Gruden as a coach and I feel he did well with what he had talent wise in Tampa but I guess after starting 9-3 and finishing 9-7, something had to be done

Not to mention he won the Superbowl with "Dungy's players". Everyone in Tampa is happy though. They wanted a fresh start and now they got it. They're really high on Raheem cuz he's young, a players' coach, and very energetic. As soon as Gruden was fired, I knew they were hiring him. I dont think Tampa will be good next year and they might start rebuilding. Should be interesting.

As soon as Gruden was fired, I knew they were hiring him. Me too, because they were announced virtually instantaneously.
