This is tough. I am not even sure if this is a certain list for me. However, it will be interesting to say the least. These are in no particular order.
Van Morrison - Moondance
The album is so relaxing and amazing. It is one that has such a full and complete sound. Everything fits in so perfectly, making it a joy to listen to. The songs are just awesome, especially Into the Mystic and Crazy Love.
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
The Boss at his best. From top to bottom this album just brings out so much. Bruce Springsteen has made many fine albums but this is his best if you ask me. While Born to Run is the most recognizable track, I particularly enjoy Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out and the epic Jungleland.
The Beatles - Revolver
While many will argue for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver is The Beatles album that takes my heart. It is just a solid effort from top to bottom. It is so complex and perfect at times. Honestly, just listen to Eleanor Rigby.
Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
The first Costello album of many greats. The album is pub rock and new wave. It is one that makes you want to sing along, move around, and just enjoy it. Right now, I am telling all of you to listen to (The Angles Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes then listen to Alison. It just begins to show what Elvis Costello is.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Damn the Torpedoes
With this album, Tom Petty proved his skill. If you call yourself a Petty fan, you need to listen to this album from top to bottom. If it were my choice, all of these tracks would have appeared on his Greatest Hits. The songs are some of his best and show a side we do not see often in his other albums. While Hard Promises is good, this one just beats it out.
