How would you feel if you had to follow a dress code in college?

I'd love it. Especially if it were a uniform.

It would depend what it was and what school I was at. Frankly, a dress code would have to be pretty uncomfortable to do anything drastic such as transfer. I can live with wearing a dress shirt and tie on a regular basis because I was forced to follow that dress code at my old job. Even at my current job I have a pretty strict dress code of black slacks, white dress shirt (no button down collars allowed), black shoes, the provided vest, and the provided bow tie. Which to be honest, is not all that bad.
However, to be honest, I almost wish there was a dress code regarding certain items. Some people wear tattered clothing and it just is a bit much. A lot of girls wear those black tights, and of course there have to be the select few who wear them when they are in pretty bad condition. Stuff like that is what annoys me.
I personally do not think sweat pants or things like that all the time are fabulous, but I do not see a problem with the wearing of them when they are in decent condition. See, a "dress code" would be a kind of hypocrisy at a college seeing as most are institutions which are based upon the idea that students have personal freedom, which must be met with personal responsibility to be a functioning adult.

Well thanks for fucking up the debate with a logical answer Freak... Blame the weekend away from Penn State. I would have been amused when I posted that I been there. Although I did have a great time at the party I went to here at home tonight. Makes you think of a lot of things...women.
