Lets talk baseball and how the Yankees will throw millions at Matt Holiday.
Also heard Detroit was looking to trade Edwin Jackson db.

Jackson is as good as gone, it's only a matter of time. Good call selling high on him while they can.
We'll see if Granderson survives the purge as well.

Rays are supposedly willing to do a Wade Davis and BJ Upton for Roy Halladay trade. I'd actually love that deal. If we arent competiting for a playoff bid late next season, we can trade him for some value because we sure as hell arent gonna re-sign him. Fernando Perez would take Upton's spot in center field....he's just as fast, if not faster than BJ. I love Wade Davis' upside so losing him would be a big loss but we got a lot of arms in the farm that have as much talent.

This looked a bit far-fetched to me when I saw it - not that the Rays wouldn't do it, but a. I thought they were trying to downsize, b. they're more than one pitcher away from being back in the postseason, and c. I have a hard time believing the Jays couldn't do any better than that. I'm 90% sure this doesn't happen and Halladay ends up with the L.A. Philsoxeegels.

Yeah Tampa is always tryna downsize because we're a small market team but Halladay would be a one year rental that could help us contend for the AL East title. Like i said, if it doesnt work out we can trade him for some nice talent. However, we need a bullpen. That's our biggest weakness. Our offense is fine. Our starting pitching is fine. Just need pitchers that can close out games. And i think Toronto would accept that deal. BJ ad Wade Davis are young and ready to play now. Toronto would get two impact players instead of some younger farm talent who are unproven in the Majors. I have a feeling he'll be a Cubbie. Or a Red Sux but i can see the Cubs trading some pieces for Roy.

Considering Halladay seems to want a long-term home as a part of this trade, I see no reason why he'd waive his no-trade to be a one year rental.

Tigers send Granderson to NY and Jackson to Arizona, get Max Scherzer, Daniel Schlereth, Austin Jackson, and Phil Coke.
Well, fuck.

You can never have too many young arms.

The Phils are trying to drop Cliff Lee for Roy Halladay...are they stupid? Yes they are and so are the Jays? Did you see what Toronto is getting in return? Holy shit, what were they thinking. Could of definetly gotten more. Congrats to the Mariners. Sign Chone Figgins and now Cliff Lee. Yikes.

I've seen three different iterations of this trade so far, so I'll hold off on judging it completely, but....I get Philly's rationale but I think it's stupid.

Mariners, Yanks = offseason winners The Mariners pitching staff is going to beast and I'm really excited to watch Granderson play out in center. It's nice to have a real outfield for once.

Hope the Yanks still like him when he can't hit .200 against LHP.
