As much as I hate the Colts, I want them to go undefeated so they can lose to the also undefeated Saints in the Super Bowl.
A guy can dream, right?

So uh, can we all agree that...as good as Dallas looked in the first half...they ended up winning this in spite of themselves?
And on a related note, we've seen firsthand why New Orleans isn't going to win the Super Bowl.

So uh, can we all agree that...as good as Dallas looked in the first half...they ended up winning this in spite of themselves? And on a related note, we've seen firsthand why New Orleans isn't going to win the Super Bowl. False. What surprised I'm drinking the homer kool-aid? Saints are only good like this never, so I might as well go balls to the wall here. First you have to consider the injuries. Ellis was out tonight, and well we can't stop the run without him in. The injuries at DB have left Mike McKenzie (who wasn't playing football a month ago) and rookie Malcolm Jenkins out there trying to play corner. Great. Which leads to Sharper not being as free to roam around and play center field. The Saints' defense, while not amazing, does an amazing job at getting turnovers. Not to mention Roman Harper was also left in coverage a lot, where generally he is more free to come up and shut down the run. The defense you watched tonight isn't the defense you'll see in January. On offense we have our one big "scary" going forward at LT. With Shockey back we'll be able to help him block a bit more, but you can't give up that sack in that situation. Brees had a rough game because of this as well. Brees just wasn't on tonight for some reason. It takes him a little while to get into a rhythm. With Dallas holding onto the ball for so long, he didn't get enough possessions until the Aints were down too far. Plus, one catch by fucking Henderson and this thing went to Overtime. Down 24-3, they came back and made it a game. The Boys laid out a blueprint to beat the Saints, but you're going to be looking at a much better Saints team when the playoffs roll around. Plus, this just feels like a team of destiny. That has nothing to do with my argument, but it's worth a little something I suppose.

Every team of destiny I've ever been involved with ended up losing in the championship, fwiw. Destiny usually ends up taking a back seat to either superior talent or superior execution, usually a combination thereof.
And well, after seeing them skirt by the Redskins (the fucking Redskins!!!) and the Falcons sans Matt Ryan, I have to wonder how they're going to beat Philly or Minnesota.

Did you read my post? Injuries are draining the Saints right now. Injuries that will be mostly fixed by the time the playoffs come. The team playing right now isn't the one you're going to see in the playoffs.

LOL the Titans, Dolphins, Jaguars, Jets and Texans all are 7-7. If Baltimore loses to the Bears, they'll be 7-7 too. All these teams are competiting for the last wildcard spot. I'd love to see Houston get it just for teh lulz

The team playing right now isn't the one you're going to see in the playoffs. While I agree injuries are playing a big part in the loss, other teams are also getting healthy. I can cite the one team I know best and that is Philadelphia. When they played the Saints earlier this year, that game was much closer than it should have been. If they were to play again, I would expect that game to be much different. A healthy Philadelphia team with more experience is going to be tough to beat. With more depth now at receiver than ever before, Donovan McNabb playing well, and an offensive line that is finally healthy and coming together, you have to believe the Eagles can easily hold in a shootout with the Saints.

Man, Marvin Lewis is just a bad coach and the Cincy defense..sucks. Cover the out route, it's common sense when they're trying to move down the field with 30 seconds left. Poor poor Carson Palmer.

Considering that half of the AFC is 7-7, the wildcards will get scrambled around these last two weeks.

And add another 7-7 team in the AFC. The Steelers are alive.

The endings of the Saints/Cowboys & Packers/Steelers were insane.

I don't believe in jinxes, but ever since Blaze posted the would-be playoff matchups, the Steelers have stunned the Packers and the Panthers just blew out the Vikings out of nowhere. I'm beginning to think Blaze has reverse jinx power over the entire NFL.
