I care only because it's the National Championship and I'd like to see who wins. At this point though, I don't care all that much.

I'll be rooting for Bama, but after a month of college football, I'm just tired of the sport. I'm anxious for conference basketball season, playoff hockey (so I can ignore it), and the MLS SuperDraft.

This tired-of-the-sport feeling, it's sort of the same way I feel after about the third round of the CBS Basketball Tournament in March.

What? You live in DC now and dont pay attention to the Caps?!?!?! And yeah im with you about conference play. You're lucky u get to see the Hoyas play these Big east teams. When I went to USF i saw West Virginia, Louisville, and Uconn play but the atmosphere there is so damn shitty. I plan on going to some Oklahoma State games but not many cause i dont have season tickets. I will go when we host Texas, Kansas, OU, and A&M.

As for this title game, im pretty pumped. Got to root for the Tide since i nearly chose to transfer there and because I hate the Horns. I just hope this game is competitive and goes down as a classic. The last title game that was exciting was USC-Texas. I hope these two teams put on a show.

This Texas team has absolutely given up on this kid at quarterback. That shovel pass and the pass in the endzone should've been caught. He's not playing great, but it definitely isn't all his fault.

So...bring on Boise State? The Big 12 and Texas' defense are overrated as expected.

Alabama was winning this either way, but this is a classic ass-raping here with no Colt McCoy.

Texas just can't move the football, which is why Alabama is rolling and going to continue. I just had to post here because it would feel wrong for me to not post when Alabama was playing for a National Championship.

Well, Texas was shitty in the first half, Alabama had no balls in the second, and the game was decided when a true freshman remembered he was a true freshman and turned the ball over in the last 2 minutes as often as possible.

I am underwhelmed.

The game ended when Gilbert came in the game. The game could have also been a lot more interesting. But it just didn't happen that way.

This. Bama was wayyy to conservative in the second half. This was one of the most interesting national title games i've seen and i wish we had a plus one since there are now 2 undefeateds left. The BCS chairman did say the regular season was like a playoff....season ends and lo and Bama is crowned "champion" while Boise is prolly thinking that they could beat them on a neutral site.

And it doesnt even feel like Bama won the title cause ESPN is just talking about Colt and the rise of Gilbert. Guess they're not gonna give Bama credit.

it was a very good game when gilbert made it close in the end... I thought it could have been a shootout with colt
