The only number people are going to remember about that game is the score, 42-7. They might remember my six touchdown passes, maybe that I threw for 332 yards and rushed for 44 more. Since we won, I don't think anyone is going to remember the five interceptions I threw in the first half.
But I will.
New Bedford was supposed to be a cupcake team defensively. We didn't even have tape on them. I thought if I went out there and played my game, we'd be fine.
And then I threw five god damn interceptions. IN THE FIRST HALF.
I'll shoulder some of the blame, sure. I certainly wasn't perfect. But our coach kept calling pass. I threw three interceptions in four plays and he kept telling me to throw it. I'm not much of a game caller, but shouldn't you open it up with some runs?
