This past week I've seen a close friend go through a lot. It's put things into perspective for me. This is a place I come to have fun and de-stress. None of us need to get caught up in petty arguments here. Life is too short.
Leak, I've never had a problem with you. I know you'll be back soon. ucrossed, I thought we were over our whole deal. I even threw a joke at you in a different thread earlier this week. I hope you didn't take it personally. My intention was not to offend you. When you come back I hope you can forget about any issues you've had with myself and others in the past and stay positive. That applies to me too-don't think I'm preaching a one-way sermon.
This site is and should remain a friendly community with the same interest-a love of sports, writing, and gaming. There are some really creative and bright people in this group. There is no need for any of us to start bashing one another (myself included).
That's my peace pipe. Do with it what you will.

By the way, one positive thing out of this was I started looking at other non-NCAA football sites. There are some really good ones out there. Can someone do a Michigan b-ball one please?

hey ive said this before, but i guess i kinda threw some coals on the fire by dropping that rating...nothing personal...i mean i figured that i acted kinda quick on the 10 and that it wasn't really deserving right away b/c you didnt have many news articles. It's at a 9 now, and i hope that Ucrossed and Leak come back b/c i really enjoyed their work.
I hope we are still cool, guys.

I guess through this whole experience we have all learned something, especially me. I mean at this point ratings should not matter to me anymore and wont. I just got real jumpy when all of this came together. I mean I was shocked about this forum and then when my rating got dropped I was thinkin the whole site is now against me.
Sucks I am leavin it is starting to hit home now. I have been thinking of ways to stay but unless someone can think of something I could do to keep everyone informed that shouldnt be too much work, im gone. I was thinkin for people who just enjoy reading this stuff I could make something small, layoutless, that would be there just to inform everyone of how that dynasties going. Feel free to bomb all of my dynasties since they will not be running no longer. Maybe if I could think of something, I could do little work at a time on important dynasties of mine like the one I just created tonight, on my favorite team, the Florida Gators.
If anyone has any suggestions on what would be best let me know.
btw, thanks everyone for your support. I mean without you guys this site would not be an enjoyment. B10W thanks man, it means alot since u have to be one of the strongest influences on this site IMO. I never had a problem with u or most people, actually I really dont think I ever had a problem with anyone. Of course all of us have had our little hating spree on someone from this site that may have lasted a week. Again thanks guys and who knows I may just make something small with details that of course could go without rating.

Well as you should already know, I hate to see you leave Leak or should I say Blake.
If I were you, I would maybe try the layoutless, just writing the story style with just one team like you said. Even though I put a lot of writing into mine, it still doesn't take as long as layouts do. I'll even help you out some if you need it.
I know how busy life can be. It's gonna get like that for me come Monday. I have six weeks to pull up three grades to A's. Then I almost have to have A's on three or four exams to get A's on my report card and keep my GPA where it is. Considering I thought I was kind of busy when I didn't care about my grades, now I'm gonna be swamped. So I know where you are coming from atleast.
Last but not least (I know this is getting long), thank you B10W for putting everything in perspective. Something like that makes you realize how insignificant *sp?* something like this is. It's fun and all but really doesn't matter when you look at something like that. I wish your friend the best.

B10W i actually didnt even see your joke till today. good one. i guess you just kinda dropped that one in there. any way i dont have anything against you or anyone (besides IRNS) When i brought up your name it was for a point i wasnt starting anything im done with that stuff now. Whta you said really makes a lot of sense. I mean it is for fun which is why im leaving. From recaps to writing good stories to everything else it has become more of a job. somethign i have to do not want to do. For me it has absolutly nothing ot do with ratings. 1. Im failing two classes which means i dont have the time right now, 2. its almost summer which means less time at home and indoors. So like ive said before i will be back in just a little bit i just need some time off to think and put things in perspective. Thanks to everyopne who helps make this site what it is. And shame on everyone who tries to make it something different.To everyone ive ever had my run ins with i dotn hold grudges im cool with all of you (exclude IRNS) I dont mind that we had our run ins back when i was new. I will be back and look forward to seeing you all again

Well I can bet you are failing English. Paragraphs please next time  . Just kidding, but I would like ya to stay. You already know that though. Oh well, it's that time of the year to buckle down a pull a few grades out. So we'll all probably get back to it come the release of NCAA 2005. So good luck to ya on pulling those grades out. |

Since I have swimteam and a job this summer, I will also do less during those lazy summer days. But once August rolls around, I'll be able to spend a lot more time on my stuff again.

Wow, when you neglect checking the forums for 1 week, things sure do change  On a more serious note, it's been fun, Leak and Crossed. Now, see where these ratings have gotten us? A few months ago on the old forums, I remember supporting a topic by BigTen on canning the entire ratings system. Well, after this one scuffle, I think this should be the last straw. This has gone far enough. Something has to be done about this evil system that is now destroying the friendships between this fine site's users. Anyone agree? Please, we have to know when to draw the line... |

And, for Stephen, here are two solutions I've thought up:
1. A system of "Hits" on how many times dynasties are accessed. If it's possible, the user's IP address cannot be counted as an access. This should only be allowed if the visitor is a premium user, or the user owning the dynasty has a premium account.
2. A simple comments page for premium users' dynasties. This would allow us to give our comments on the said dynasty without giving ratings.
Well, these two are the best solutions I've got so far. What you you think, Stephen? Fellow Forum Posters? I'd like to know what you'd think...

Damn, this is the kind of stuff that causes problems. Bmaster, you could have said what you wanted without calling some of the people here babies. Like IRNS (again lazy if you read this) telling ucrossed not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. All that does is cause problems. I personally like the ratings but I could care less if we had them or not. I'm more for the comments and the rating is just gravy.
Alright so let's just end this and go on having fun doing our dynasties on the site. Alright
