I'm gonna tell you how I discovered this site. I was at Gamefaqs.com in the NCAA Football section and Xanderski posted the link to his Idaho dynasty. I saw it and I thought it was pretty cool. Then I went to the main page of DC and saw BigTenWorlds Michigan Dyansty and I was in awe. I knew I had to create my own. Now, if it wasn't for the ratings and his being #1 I would have never gotten hooked to this site.

I'm not trying to bash you or anything leak, but from what you have said, you really are "leaving" because huskers dropped you to an 8 temporarily. But I wanna see the Blizzard because they have a cool logo. lol

Also, Gators not angry at ya lol just tired of sayin this continously thats why its in CAPS. I have decided to stay on DC in my own little way... Although just so u all know I do not want any ratings on that Gators site of mine. I have decided I will go without ratings and being in the Top 10.
With Huskers droppin my rating, that brought me to 4th place. As u al know I have been in 4th place awhile and why would I be angry and leave this whole site becuase of that. I mean think about it, how stupid would that be? I decided all of this becuase this site had jumped on me for something I didnt do and had nothing to do with. Now I am doing small things becuase I have little time to do a whole lot and I will do this for my enjoyment and the enjoyment of everyone who checks/reads it. That is what I should have done in the first place...

Now, see where these ratings have gotten us? A few months ago on the old forums, I remember supporting a topic by BigTen on canning the entire ratings system. Well, after this one scuffle, I think this should be the last straw. This has gone far enough. Something has to be done about this evil system that is now destroying the friendships between this fine site's users. Anyone agree? Actually, I'm all for the ratings. When I don't have the time to post I like to read other sites. I look at listed new stories and the top 10. It's a good starting point and based on a concensus. Back then my contention was with the idea that ratings could be changed leading to a "oh you rated me this well I'm changing my rating to that". Or "he didn't post yesterday let me drop him so I can move up". Kind of like a Nash Equilibrium. Well, that's exactly what happened. There's nothing wrong with ratings. That's just my humble opinion. |

Personally, I like the ratings, it drives people to make their dynasties that much better to get over the hump.
I think Leak doesn't deserve all those 9's and 10's just because he has a flash banner taken directly from the Blizzard website, and a layout shouldn't be the only thing people look at to judge things.
Some people don't even use tables, except for the box score and the photos maybe, and they still get exceptional scores - because they have exceptional dynasties.

Even though I was in awe of the flash banner and gave Leak a 10, I agree with Turps. Writing is what keeps me into a dynasty. I believe Mr. Bismark said it best:
1. Good writing.
2. Good writing.
3. Good writing.
Everything else is extra gravy.

See this what bugs me. I had the layout and had the nice banner and all of u continue to whine that I dont deserve this and that. Im tired of it guys quit your b*tching. I deleted the dynasty so give it up. Its not my fault people decided to give my GB a 10 or 9, sorry but if they like my dynasty let them rate high dont b*itch about it, if u dont like it, rate the stupid dynasty low!
Now I have a Florida Gators dynasty and that is practically ALL writing. I wanted it to go without ratings, but since Bamarulz2020 and my cousin played a joke on me and rated it, I have an 8.0...
This way since everyone thinks my dynasties are all layout u can see the writing that I have clearly. U ask me my writing is very good and I know what im talking about. Some others with good writing are Bamarulz2020, UCrossed23, Big10World, Muddspur (love his writing) and now Sportsfan is doing a great job writing with his new dynasty... (There are tons of others that include that bunch up there.)
Just sayin next time when I bring the layout back, dont get mad if others rate me high... just rate it low I dont care or yell at whoever rated it so high. Thanks.

It's not like Leak's writing is bad, I like it and always have. In a layout like he uses, it kind of gets lost in the flash and awe of it. When you have a layout like that, you really don't need the level of writing because the pretty points raise it up. His writing did a great job of telling what happened in the game. I don't see how you can knock it.
So he got high ratings for the "bling," who cares? A rating is an opinion, and people like different things. Some like the flashy layouts and others like the writing. It's just the way it is.

SportsFan: I'm guessing that you are from La Marque. You going to have any of the La Marque greats (i.e. Roylin Bradley, Nehemiah Glover, Larry Kerlegan . . . don't know if you know any of those guys or not) on the team or just bring in recruits that the CPU creates.

Just letting everyone know i have decided to stay with the convincing from several DC members and all the love me n my cousin got in here made me realize some things so i think i will stay. I will be starting up a Tar Heels football site, also layout less. Kepp it simple because i noticed. I was too caught up in HTMLad the most fun with my NY Jets dynastry and i didnt use a layout then. So i will stay and thanks to B10W because that put things into perspective for me
