Nothing would make me happier college football-wise than seeing Brady Quinn lose...

Wow, that Vanderbilt vs Michigan game said a lot. The defense for the Blue is improved, but after all, it was just Vandy. Michigan couldn't stop that option, though, so that may be something to look out for.
And, in just twenty minutes, my Buckeyes will open up the 2006 season!

I generally try and scout the teams Bama plays the week before to get a feel for what we're up against, and Hawaii looks tough. Colt Brennan seems like a perfect fit for the Run-n-Shoot and y'all have some athletes out at WR. With a very young secondary, Hawaii will score. I do wonder how the Hawaii o-line will handle the Bama front seven, who ought to be very good again.
Then of course those bigguns up front on the Hawaii defense have me worried, because Alabama's oline isn't exactly great. I do think Alabama will be able to run the ball and shorten the game up, because Hawaii hasn't seen RBs this good since Reggie and LenDale came down there last year.
I think it'll be a 27-21 win for Bama, and I'll be happy with it. Move on to next week and play Vandy and just keep getting better. I'm excited though!
Oh and NIU gives Ohio State a game today. They'll fade late but the Buckeyes are about to get nervous.

Yeah, I like Hawaii's receiver Davone Bess, that kids good. Doesnt look like NIU is giving any competition early with a 14-0 OSU lead.
UF in 2 hrs, unfortunately wont be able to watch it but I hope we come out big against Southern Miss. Right now im checking out the West Virginia/Marshall game.

Well the OSU offense is something impressive. Anyway, we've got 30 minutes or so until the Tennessee/Cal game, which is one I'm looking forward to. Needless to say I'll be rooting for the Bears in that one.

Woah! Florida's losing by 7 just three minutes into the game. USM always plays you tough, but that's surprising with the esteem I hold that Gator defense. They'll get it together, but maybe some butterflies for the Gators early on.

Yeah, things arent off to a good start and thats speaking for UF and for rooting against Tennessee. Cal's playing scared offensively and just getting outdone on everything. As for UF, I wish I had the game on TV but I got the scoreboard online.

Tennessee is dominating out there. Cal's offense looks like a deer caught in the headlights. Oh and Eric Ainge is looking like a beast out there, which doesn't speak well for the Cal defense. You know, Tennessee might have what it takes to win the East if they play like this.
Florida's going to eventually pull away, ain't worried about them yet. Auburn's going to have a halfway rough go of things early but they'll win much to my dismay. Alabama's going to kick off in 20 minutes, and USC/Arkansas ain't too far behind. Great day of SEC football.

Just tied it up, Dallas Baker caught the touchdown and has 50 yardsi n the 1st. Its either going to be Baker, or Caldwell to break out like Chad Jackson did this year, hell maybe both of them. Its nice to see we're getting Percy Harvin involved, he had an 11 yard run and a 3 yard catch in the 1st. No signs of the "Tim Tebow special formation" yet, im anxious to see if we get him in there today.
Longshore's having trouble out there, too much inexperience at QB for Cal. I think Ayoob will be in for the 2nd half and it should help Cal offensively. Lynch and Forsett got to get it going though, but it all begins with a QB to spread out this defense thats stacked and ready for the run.

Well I dont think its as much that Longshore isnt ready to play, but that he isnt ready for a road game like this in Knoxville. Its hard enough for experienced QBs to play here and your going to pick Longshore to start over Ayoob? We'll see what they decide to do in the second half, but one things for sure the Vols came to play today.

The Vols D is what is making Longshore's life difficult, not so much that he can't play. It can get pretty loud up there in Knoxville, and when your playing against a Top 10 calibur defense, it's going to be very rough on even the most seasoned quarterback. That Vols defense is fantastic, and ole David Cut has Ainge playing like a Div. 1-A quarterback tonight.
Oh and how's the Gators game going?

Just took a 14-7 on a 2 yard touchdown run by DeShawn Wynn. That got setup by a 22 yard run by Percy Harvin on 3rd and 1. This Harvin kid's already showing why we recruited him. Look out he could be the Derrick Williams of last year.
Oh my, Robert Meacham is killing them! Two poor tackles gave them two big touchdowns from Meacham.

I'm not surprised, the number 1 kid in America has to have something good about him right?
Oh and Alabama's getting ripped up early by Hawaii's offense. Sounds like they are starting to pull things together though, as Hawaii's kicking a field goal. I love listening to it on the radio.
Hawaii 3-0 Alabama early on

Well look at it this way, atleast Bama and UF arent playing like Cal right now. Quite true. I'm just wondering if Cal's that overrated or UT is that damn good. I hope it's the former.

Yeah, how do you think I feel? UF plays this Tenn team in the same place in 2 weeks.
Hopefully, its just Cal playing bad and being overrated.

I know. I mean, Tennessee looks like a National Title type team. The problem is that Cal is playing very sloppy defense. You can't arm tackle and expect to stop people. YAC is what is beating Cal, well that and a smothering UT defense.
That'll be Urban's first test of the year certainly.

Yeah, which is always stressful for a fan their teams first test being on the road at one of the nations toughest stadiums. But its nothing new for any of these SEC teams, the better team will come out the winner most likely. Leak better play really good though, I know that much.
