I had great seats tonight, right in the middle of section 103. Good people around me, except for these two twits in front of me. I wouldn't have minded to get a good swing in at the guy. Other than that though, the LSU folks are good people. Got to eat some great food, and really enjoyed the atmosphere there once again. LSU beats us around how I thought they would, I just thought the defense for Bama would play better. LSU just had more horses tonight, not much Bama could have done better (sans two redzone turnovers) to win that one. Too bad Arkansas bout put y'all out of the SEC Title game, because I know you guys want another shot at UF.

Florida Gators SEC Champions. I just hope they give us a shot at Ohio State instead of the rematch between them and Michigan. I think we deserve that chance.

It should really be a no decision. I mean Florida had a hard hard hard schedule and are lucky they came away with the wins they did. Florida deserves this shot, and the SEC needs this to prove that our conference is tough...

I'm a Michigan fan and I thought yal deserve a chance too. I'm all for Michigan to make the National Championship, but if Florida makes it instead of us oh well, Rose Bowl here we come. |

Aside from schedule strength (where FLA is 1 and Michigan is 3, so it's not even majorly different), why should Florida make it in? Because they win their conference? 11-1 and losing to the number one team in Ohio State is much more impressive than 12-1 and losing to Auburn, with close calls against Vanderbilt, a bad Florida State team, South Carolina and Georgia. I'm not saying Florida is bad, but Michigan deserves the re-match more than Florida deserves to get there. |

First off, how in the bloody hell does Michigan have the 3rd hardest schedule in the country? I'll give them the wins over Notre Dame and Wisconsin as quality and the loss to Ohio State is quality as well. Florida has wins over LSU and Arkansas. They also have Top 25 wins over Tennessee, and Georgia who was 26th last week (meaning if they move up today with the Hawaii loss; Florida will have beaten four top 25 teams to Michigan's two.
Secondly, Michigan had a close call against Ball State! Yes the close game against Vandy wasn't exactly great, but it wasn't any worse than Michigan's. The South Carolina thing may have had something to do with the whole "Spurrier coming home to Florida deal" and of course the FSU was a rivalry game. Not excuses, but makes them look better.
Finally, Florida played 10 bowl bound teams on their schedule. Michigan on the other hand played 6 teams going to bowls. Yet somehow Michigan's schedule is considered "not even majorly different" by some out there.
Florida won the SEC, which was the deepest and most difficult conference this year. Michigan came in second in the Big Ten and already had a game where the National Title was basically on the line and they lost it. Florida hasn't had that chance and quite frankly deserve it.

Well Bama basically said everything I was going to say, but my main reason was a Michigan had their chance. If we had played Ohio State and lost even with the schedule we had being harder and a bit of a role reversal we wouldnt have anybody to blame but ourselves for not winning the game. That was their "national championship" and they knew it.
Plus, you have to put winning your conference as a factor. Yeah, they were behind Ohio State, but they had their chance to win the Big 10. It wasnt easy for us to win the SEC which is tougher than the Big 10, we had to go through teams like LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Three of which at one point or another during the season were in the Top 5.
Lets not forget we didnt lose to a bad team in Auburn, they were #2 before losing to Arkansas who ended up later becoming one of the best. So we also lost to a very good team, and to beat them would of had to have given them a second straight loss at home.

I just hope LSU beats Michigan in the Rose Bowl because then we wont hear the should Michigan have been in talks, meanwhile im looking forward to a very tough matchup against Ohio State. I can guarantee you that won't happen. |

Ha, yeah I know it wont considering I modified it and fixed it myself a little bit afterwards. But in this case, either way im screwed because USC wins, we hear about how they could of won the NC if they didnt lose to UCLA, Michigan wins we hear about how they should of been in the NC.
Both are very good teams, should be a great game.
