Bennett and Johnson are hooking up real nice. I wanted West Virginia, but if they lose they are dead to me.

Damn Auburn. Get two turnovers that give them the ball inside the Nebraska 20 yard line and pull it off by three. Auburn has amazing luck, no doubt about it.
Then the other SEC teams are sucking it up. Not a great New Years for this SEC football fan.

Like Wisconsin, a fluke team who got by playing nobody, did against one of the top SEC teams.
SEC is getting exposed this bowl season so far.

Agreed....
some folks who made the "SEC is the stronger conference, therefore Florida should play OSU" argument have to be rethinking that right now. Including me.

Arkansas, right. Their quarterback situation has been bad late in the season, hence the "Wildcat" formation. Arkansas played Wisconsin close, despite the fact their best option at quarterback is a runningback. They won the West before the quarterback situation really happened when Mustain started sucking all of a sudden. Tennessee finished the season pretty sucky as well. Probably were the sixth best SEC team going into the bowl games. No excuse for them though, Penn State just beat them. Now look at Georiga beating a top 15 team in Virginia Tech. Look at lowly Kentucky beating Clemson. The SEC is 4-3 this bowl season, with the losses being Alabama (last second FG without a true HC), Arkansas (against 12-1 Wisconsin), and Tennessee. Also remember the cream of the crop is yet to play. The SEC was the best conference this year, due to depth IMO. The SEC had pretty strong teams all the way down the line. If you disagree, whatever, but please explain how your favorite conference was better. You know, how Iowa and Minnesota are like playing Georgia and Auburn.

The SEC is the best conference because they can't finish seasons..?

The SEC is the best conference because they can't finish seasons..? Nope, best conference because their 8th and 9th best teams are about as good as the 5th and 6th best in other conferences. The top four in the Big Ten are as good as the top four in the SEC, but down from there the SEC is better. Simple as that. Oh and DB on the point of Florida. The meat of the Gators schedule was games @ Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, LSU, @auburn, and finally against Georgia. That's five games in a row against bowl teams, including a BCS team (which they beat by double digits). Add on top of that they played a grand total of ten bowl teams (whose record in Bowls are 4-3), and Florida had one hell of a road. Note: 10 out of 12 games that Florida played were against teams that went to bowls. Michigan on the other hand played a grand total of seven bowl teams. They did also have a long streak of bowl teams (4) early in the season. The beat CMU, ND, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. That's not an easy road, not knocking it. The teams they played that have gone to bowls went (3-2) so far, with Notre Dame and Ohio State who have not played yet. 10 Bowl Teams > 7 Bowl Teams Make sense?

I wish Auburn would play Michigan and we beat Ohio State next week. Actually, nevermind the Aub-Mich I rather just beat OSU next week because as long as we can become Nat' Champs I could careless who belonged in there really

See if we had a playoff system there would be less to whine about big picture, but more to whine about for each individual conference. The SEC is a deeper conference, but the top teams in the Big 10 (OSU, U-M, Wisky) are better then the SEC's top dogs.

I agree with the playoff, but damn if I won't miss all of this talk and the Bowls themselves. I think OSU is clearly the top team in America, and I really think only LSU on a good day would beat them 5/10 times. Florida's got a decent shot, but I do think OSU is probably going to win.

What the bowl season has really shown is that the ACC is easily the worst of the 6 BCS conferences, and probably behind the WAC and MWC as well this year.
