It's not really bad. He has to wear a walking boot, and it's just a sprain.
It may be enough to effect his decision on whether to stay or go, but I doubt it.

I seriously think daddy and the agent got in his ear and said "look, you just returned the opening kick in the national title game for a td. You're set. Don't worry about going back in."
