btw I love how it says that the Russell's pass to beat kentucky was better than the "The Play" I think pretty much everyone in the world who has seen that play can say that it is the greatest play in football if not sports history.

The Play > The Bluegrass Miracle (Oh and that was Marcus Randall)

The Play > The Bluegrass Miracle (Oh and that was Marcus Randall) oh I have only seen it a few times so it kinda looked like russell and then I saw his name started with r so I just assumed it was Jamarcus. and David sure they're better if you combine them but on their own they dont stand up to the Play.

I would say that it was the best ending to a college football game.

It was great, but seriously "The Play" is as good as it gets. Other plays are arguably just as good as the ending of that game, like Flutie's Hail Mary and even Kordell Stewart against Michigan in 1994.
Great game, but was not the best I've ever seen. Plus, I don't care for all the Boise love.

Although I dont think by themselves they would rank high on my all-time best play list the fact that they all happened in the same game was amazing. I do think it was the greatest game I have ever seen. Of course I have only been watching college football for some 5 years or so I guess I am not a good judge.

Boise caught lightning in a bottle this year beating Oklahoma in that game. I don't see them sneaking up like that on any team again.
OU this season might have been the worst Big 12 champion since the league's inception.

Good SEC homer post that started this off. I actually enjoyed the read and now that I live in SEC country, have found a limited appreciation for the conference.
However, I must defend my Wolverines, whose wins were called into question. We Wolverines hang our winged helmets not simpily on the fact that our program has the most wins of all time, but also that our program has the HIGHEST WINNING PERCENT of anyone.
If we want to stick with arbitray cut-off dates, such as 75 years, let's look at the last 10 years of bowl games b/w the SEC and Big Ten. Guess who has more wins?
And rivalries are judged by their relevance to the national landscape. The last time the OSU-UM game didn't mean anything to another team's BCS bowl chances was, well never.

I swear to god if I hear another "Let's see them play an SEC schedule" argument I will go through the roof. So I'll counter. Let's see an SEC team win a game in sub-freezing temperatures, and in the snow. Well your boy Troy Smith obviously can't play in cold or rainy weather. The dude did freaking horrible at the Senior Bowl and it was only like in the 40's. And lets not underate heat, heat can be exhausting. If I recall most SEC players go to northern football clubs and have no troubles so boom.

Yeah considering Troy battled cold temperatures and rainy weather throughout most of the Big Ten schedule and played like a Heisman winner.

Can we just all go home agreeing that we're all rediculous homers and could never convince anyone else on this forum about anything because we're all so hard-headed it takes a jackhammer to break our heads apart?

So Troy can play in crappy weather, he did an amazing job playing in Glendale. Hell the whole Buckeyes team looked like 95 Cornhuskers on steroids. *This is purely in responce for USMA's call for us to stop*

And who has more National Championships? Alabama or Ohio State...
Troy Smith should not have been the Heisman winner this year. He totally won that award based on the team he was playing for.

I think Notre Dame's a northern state...
And like whomever up there said...we're all homers so we'll never agree.

Did I ask who had won more national championships? I was merely poking fun at Bama. Oh really? Show me someone that was more deserving of the trophy. Show me someone else who had a 30-5 TD/INT ratio. Show me someone else who had one of the games of his life in the game of the century. And don't even bother bringing up the national title game, that was after the heisman trophy was awarded. Thing is, any other year, Troy wouldn't have won. But you could not show me a candidate that was better than him this year. Case closed.

You Buckeyes. Whenever someone calls out your team, it's instant self-defense mode.
Reminds me of a certain Spartan. Go not-Buckeyes in this argument, and this thread gets an obligatory 41-14.
