Who do you guys think will run the table and be the powerhouse team to beat next year?.....
I think seriously you should watch out for Oregon State to comepete with USC for the Pac-10 crown considering that there going to have their Starting HB and QB coming back as seniors...
In the Big 12 the team to look out for has to be without Nebraska yes ... I said Nebraska .... Nebraska not only will have their starting QB back but will compete for the job With former ASU QB Sam Keller for the 08 campign....
The Big 10 will most likely belong to Michigan or Wisconsin
Acc will once again be run by Virginia Tech or Miami
The SEC will most likely belong to Florida or LSU
The Big East will be taken by Rugters

My Take:
The obvious MNC front runner is USC. They bring back so much talent and have a great coaching staff. I just can't see a team in the Pac 10 winning that conference besides them.
I kind of like FSU in the ACC this year. Jimbo Fisher will have the offense playing much better and well Mickey Andrews is a great defensive coordinator. Miami, Virginia Tech, and maybe a team like Maryland or Boston College will make another run. Look out for UNC too, Butch Davis gives them some instant credibility.
The Big Ten will be Michigan's, but Ohio State and Wisconsin will be biting at their heels. Look out for Illinois though, because the Zooker has brought in some talent.
The SEC will be a very interesting case. Florida is losing quite a bit of senior leadership and a lot of the defense that made them so good last year. LSU has lost some offensive zip with those wideouts and Russell going pro. On defense they will probably be the best in the SEC though, even losing guys like Landry. Watch out, that unit might be 2003 LSU good.
The West has LSU as the early favorite, but Bama, Auburn, and Arkansas might make a run. Auburn is the most likely, but they are going to have some offensive line woes and their only real receiving threat left. Alabama's offense should be very good, but an inexperenced defense will leave Saban looking towards next year for any real success. Houston Nutt is a lame duck over in Hogland, and the situation over there is so crazy that even Darren McFadden won't lift them out of it.
My favorite in the East is actually UGA. Great coaching, some experience at QB, and well a ton of talent returning. Last year was a rebuilding year for the Dawgs, but they will be extremely good this year. Florida will be very good, but you will see a drop off at QB and on the defensive side of the ball. Tennessee will again only be third or fourth best, but they will also be top 20 good. Watch out, if they can spring an upset in the Swamp, they could make a run at the East. South Carolina is always a dark horse with the Visor running the show over in Colombia.
The SEC will be very balanced next year, with I think six or seven teams in the running for the title. LSU is my favorite, with UGA coming in second. The order of the 2000s will be restored.
Eh, who really cares about the Big 12 (that's for you Bearcat).
That's my early thoughts, but I need to really look at those SEC teams to get a better feel for them before I make a good pre-season post.

The only thing that matters is that Army is going 0-12. #1 Pick Baby!!!!!
Wait. There's no NCAA Draft? Oh god, we're screwed for the next 20 years. Again.

The Big 10 will most likely belong to Michigan or Wisconsin Acc will once again be run by Virginia Tech or Miami The SEC will most likely belong to Florida or LSU The Big East will be taken by Rugters A few things - Matt Moore (Oregon St. QB) is graduated. Yvenson Bernard (RB) is back. I think. Check me on that. Also, Nebraska's starting QB has graduated as well. Joe Ganz, who is a senior, will compete with Jesus Christ a.k.a. Sam Keller at quarterback. ------------ Anywho, I'll inform the masses about the Big 12. The Big 12 is a wide open race. As many as six teams can compete for the league championship, and a few others than can surprise. In the North, only Missouri and Nebraska have a serious chance of contending. Kansas State had a nice season last year, but are far too inexperienced on defense after losing a lot due to graduation, and won't be in serious contention at least for another season. Iowa State, Kansas, and Colorado still have a ways to go. Nebraska might have the most talent in the North, but that margin is getting very slim. Mizzou might have the most explosive offense in the entire nation next year. The Husker defense should be better, but not enough to stop the potent Tiger attack. I will go with Missouri to win the North for the first time in team history, but only if they beat Nebraska at home. In the South, four teams have a chance. Texas, Texas A&M, and OU are the clear front-runners. Texas Tech has a chance to surprise, if a few breaks fall their way. They return their quarterback and most of the offensive line, but their defense, which was surprisingly decent last season, was decimated by injuries and graduation. They also lost a bevy of wideouts that will be playing on Sundays. Texas A&M could very well win the South this year, as the 'Horns lose a lot on defense, and also lost their defensive coordinator, Gene Chizik, to Iowa State this past offseason. I look for the Aggies to make a serious run at the South title. Oklahoma has a good stable of running backs, and a still-pretty good defense, but are breaking in a new quarterback, and Paul Thompson wasn't exactly Jason White last year. I want to pick the Aggies, but I'll go with the 'Horns, but not by much. In the Big 12 title game, I'll take Texas over the Tigers, but it will be closer than many think.

For the Big Ten, Michigan would make the most sense as champions, as much as it pains me to admit. Okay, let's run down the likely candidates for the Big Ten Championship outside of Michigan.
Wisconsin - Returns P.J. Hill and are carrying quite a bit of momentum off of a 12-1 season. - Lost not to mention stud tackle Joe Thomas but starting quarterback John Stocco, who has been the leader of this team for the past few seasons. - Good thing: Weak Schedule
Penn State - Ah, we all know about their electrifying receivers and the talented Anthony Morelli. But, the key position is at running back where they must replace Tony Hunt. I'm not too sure if Austin Scott will be playing for them next season, and Roddy Kinlaw isn't exactly Larry Johnson. Yet, Joe Paterno always manages to work his running game to near perfection, so I wouldn't count them out of it. - How will they handle the loss of Paul Posluzny? I know they are LB U, but, just like Ohio State losing A.J. Hawk last season, it takes a lot to make up for a talent like Poz.
Ohio State - Last season, all we heard about was the great Buckeye offense. Get ready for the norm to settle back into Columbus, as the defense will once again hold the cards. They return most of their best off of last season's great performance. - Oh lord, the offense. Gone are a Heisman Trophy winner, a pair of All-Americans, and some of the best offensive lineman in the country. Returning? Tackles Alex Boone and Kirk Barton. After the NC, they could use some work. - We have the advantage of a weak non-conference schedule, and we should use that to get off to an early start. I liken this team to that of 2004, where we started off at 3-0, then sputtered to 3-3, before finishing at 8-4.
Big Ten 1. Michigan- Experience laden teams tend to be successful in the Big Ten. Not even Lloyd Carr can screw up this team. 2. Wisconsin- If they can find a quarterback, they could be Rose Bowl bound. 3. Penn State- Get ready for an electrifying passing attack. 4. Ohio State- An offensive rebuilding season. 5. Northwestern- Everything is in place for a rebound season. (Not to mention Tyrell Sutton). 6. Iowa- Despite losing most of their team, Kirk Ferentz will keep them bowl-bound. 7. Indiana- Terry Hoeppner was the right man for the job. 8. Purdue- Return a lot of experience, but not their year. 9. Illinois- Give their young talent a year to get accumulated. 10. Michigan State- Dantonio will work wonders, but you don't lose that much off of a middle-of-the-road team and have a successful season. 11. Minnesota- You lose your quarterback, fire your successful coach, and lose your best offensive playmaker at tight end. What the hell are you thinking?

I know they are LB U, but, just like Ohio State losing A.J. Hawk last season, it takes a lot to make up for a talent like Poz. I like you analysis of Penn State, but would like to correct a couple things. Chances are we probably won't be the electrifying passing attack this season. The key to Anthony Morelli's success is like Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh. Throw the ball 20 times throughout the game. If Morelli starts thwoing too much, he'll get overconfident and make a stupid play. We will probably rely on senior Austin Scott fro most of the rushing plays, but freshman Brent Carter and Travis McBride. Roddy Kinlaw is pretty terrible no matter how good he does in video games. The defense will be fine. Dan Connor is th frontrunner to win the Bednarik trophy and Sean Lee is probably top five on that list too. Not to mention that we've had ten or so four/three star recruit linebackers the last couple of years. I'd say we are loaded on defense again. I'm most worried about the defensive line. Jared Odrick is a great talent, but I don't know if he's ready to start. I like our schedule this season too. We have our three big ones [Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin] at home. I don't care how good Jimmy Clausen was in high school, he's not coming into Beaver Stadium his second ever game and winning. I figure we'll play Ohio State close and pull away at the end. Wisconsin always loses to us at home so I'm not worried. Sorry for going on a tangent, but I think we are probably the third best team in the Big Ten, and your analysis was pretty accurate. I think we'll finish 10-2 and be headed for the Capital One Bowl by the end of the season.

I forgot about Penn State when I was talking about the Big Ten, they too ought to be pretty good this season.

If the Zooker ever learns to coach, watch out for the Illini. Since Mizzou has a six-year agreement with the Illini in the non-con, I'm not nervous about this year (our offense is killer, and their defense sucks), but in the coming years, they'll be a handful given he can use his talent effectively.
And Glen Mason isn't that great of a coach. He did well considering Minnesota's situation (bad recruiting territory), but blowing a 31-point lead in the FOURTH quarter in the bowl game alone kinda un-does whatever good he did.
