I had trouble keeping guys happy when I called them. So I'm wondering: - How bad is it if a guy hangs up on me?
- How bad is it if the football in the top-right corner is that huge frowny face?
Any tips?

both aren't good...never try and sway someone is my only tip, they usually end up mad and hang up on you....hard sell pitches the recruit finds important....easy as that

I always did "Find Pitch". So maybe that has something to do with it?
Of the 20-25 guys I called, over half hung up on me. I thought that was pretty bad.

Don't spend over 30 minutes talking to one guy, watch the football face thing and if its going south, hang up before he hangs up.

Once you find the "very high" and "most" pitch. Just hard sell it for every target so that they get the huge smile. After they do, use the "B" button and end the convo right there. Always leave them with a big ole smile.
Also, use the sway pitch thing if they have a "very high" or "most" on something your school isn't good at. At Ole Miss, I got a kid who was most on Championship Contention and I got him to bump up Conference Prestige to Very High. So I showed him our schedule on the visit and got him to sign. Hard nosed four star running back perfect for our system.

Just basically once u find they 2 very highs and their one mosts then u proceed to just sell that pitch every time. However if ur school isnt very good at per say one of their favorites then get them on another one. My friend and I have been doing a 2 player dynasty with me Virginia and him UNC over the past three days non stop so we kinda getting better and better at recruiting each day.
I think this games recruiting aspect is a good one.

I think right here is what the new system is supposed to accomplish - instead of assigning points and hoping for the best, you actually have to sell your program to recruits, which is very close to how it is for real. It's not perfect, because there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that Joe Fan doesn't know about, but the additional stuff like the promises, the recruiting board, and the phone calls is real stuff in recruiting. EA didn't miss the boat with this one.

It does the job very well, because I've had to sell the better aspects of my program because a recruit wanted something we were lacking in. Even with a decent program like Ole Miss I have to do this, imagine using UL Lafayette or something!
EA got recruiting right, I just wish I didn't take quite as much time. It is rewarding to get a guy to sign with you though, and to actually "get to know" a player.
